I've been writing the same fanfic for five years and every time I sit down to write I somehow end up reading, watching movies or playing computer games instead. Believe me, I understand distraction. :D
If only it was that kind of distraction most of the time! It would make it easier to be more disciplined! I'm afraid a lot of it is RL 'distractions', which are harder to ignore! However, we hope some of those pressures will ease off eventually and we'll get back to this.
Thanks for the vote of confidence! It really helps to know we're doing okay here. ;-)
Oh, yes, those are just the *preventable* distractions. There's way too much of the other kind too. :(
I'm afraid I'm so biased toward Jack and Sawyer that I haven't read many chapters outside of their involvement. But the way you have presented their backstory is wonderful and it makes their relationship so beautiful and intriguing (and tragic!). There are other things I enjoy and admire about this immense crossover project but those are the chapters that really keep me coming back, wanting to see what happened and whether they'll ever get back together (if that's even an option anymore considering Matt's relationship to Ian).
Thank you again! I'm so sorry the promised bit hasn't appeared yet - my co-writer has been unable to find time to continue where we left off, and I've been a little run off my feet in RL too.
I have a question for you: would you rather wait until the full 'ficlet' is complete, or would you prefer I give you the 'excerpt' that is close to finished in order to fulfil this request? If the latter works for you, I can tidy that up and post it soon. If you really would prefer the former, longer part, I'm afraid I can't promise when that might be available.
Yeah. That. :)
