A cut and it heals. What did you do to me? Richard demands.
A white stone heavy in his enemy’s hands. (You grow tired of me so easily my friend.)
The weaver dies. Ben’s wide eyes betray his fear. Richard will be alone now. (They’re coming.)
A thread pulled taut and a whispered destiny is tied shut.
Tied up in Jacob’s web, his children suffocate beneath his secrets.
