I love when rings slide around, too. I only ever wear one ring, and it's my high school class ring. I was heavier my senior year of hs, though, so it usually slips and slides. It reminds me that even though I may not always feel good about myself, I'm better than I used to be.

Awww man I want you to make me dinner lol. You sound like such a good cook and I want in! My mother never made dinner for us kids, it was always just healthy choice tv dinners . . . so every chance I can get for homecooked meals, I totally go for it. It's kind of an emotional attachment. Being a psych major, if I had to analyze it, I would say that I seek the comfort my mother never gave me through other motherly figures and their cooking. I dunno, it's kinda weird lol.

Good luck with dealing with your anxiety. I hope you can treat it effectively and move on :o)

That's awesome having a class ring to compare to. You know exactly what year/age you're comparing yourself to. I've had my ring since I was in the 6th grade. It's pretty small already since I have tiny fingers, but it was getting tight there for a while and now it's finally more loose than when I got it. Woo. :P ( ... )

I love cooking, but I'm not good at improvising. If I have a very straightforward recipe, I'm okay. I don't know a lot of cooking lingo though. Sometimes I try to cook, and if I know all the lingo and how to do it, it turns out pretty good.

I just wish I grew up learning how to cook because I feel bad that Colin will never have a homecooked meal from me . .. grrrr

Maybe I should take cooking lessons or something? lol

You should really press your mother on the anxiety issue. It'll let her know you're very serious about getting help. Don't allow the topic to just subside because no one took the big step forward. Make her see you want/need it!

I can never follow a recipe. That's when I screw things up, believe it or not! Haha. It's almost sad.
I've always got to make something up in my head. Or vaguely follow the outline of a recipe.
Cooking lessons couldn't hurt, but I find it more beneficial to experiment on my own. Meh. Maybe I'm just an oddball though. If you look around online, like allrecipes.com or cooks.com it'll give you step by step instructions on how to prepare everything in a given recipe. Very helpful. :]

I think I'm going to call my mom at work tomorrow. That way she won't be around my dad and she'll be easier to talk to. Blah. :X
