Its been raining. But its not stopping me from having fun.

Despite the rain, flooded floors & roads and squeaky mushy wet shoes, I think I had quite a bit of fun this past week. I think the chinese new year holiday that's coming up, (or even thinking about it) is keeping my spirit up!

Monday's usually my free day and on monday, baby drove Elaine and I into JB for some shopping and eating. I kinda forced him to go and he was in a bad mood but I think food cheered him up quite a bit. A hungry man is an angry man!! Give men good food and they become so happy. What makes girls happy then? Shopping? Wait. I know, Diamonds. hahaha.

We were supposed to eat seafood but Secret Recipe was like half price, cos its all in Rm so yeah, we settled for that, Cakes were like half price. Everything was half price!! And the lamb shank stew with bread looked good.

Everything was nice till we ordered this....

Do you see the oil? Who makes Brownie chocolate sauce with artery-clogging fatty oil! GROSS.

Orchard Hotel Porridge Buffet

Met up with Emmanuel, Mel, Des and Tiff on Thurs evening at orchard hotel for a Taiwanese Porridge Buffet. Had such a spread, and it was 1-for-1. cheap! Manu the foodie always manages to source out gd food.. There were four kinds of porridge and the century egg porridge, pork, fish, octopus porridge. Plus all the dishes!! But what i liked was the Braised Duck with Tau Pok & Egg together with Salted Eggs, Fried Beancurd skin, Braised Vegetables and Peanuts!!Actually, I love the yolk of the salted egg so much I can just eat salted egg with plain porridge. Like a good ol'China Man.

On friday evening, eu msged me while I was in town and said she wanted to go back to our old rgps school, and the area around there, Mt. Sinai Rd! I was thinking, Nostalgic! So, I met her at Jelita at 9.30pm and we drove down to Henry Park Apartments but the rain just didn't stop, instead it got heavier and the shops were closed. So, armed with umbrellas and eu's yellow photo albums filled with pictures from 8 yrs ago, we trotted down to Holland to meet bev. I'm glad none of my photos are in there. No chance of blackmail. Phew. hahaha.
