Fingers Crossed

Sorry to abandon my livejournal friends, I will be sending all my love to you individually tomorrow.

Tuesday I thought was the day I was suppose to go to the insurance company in hopes to get a job there. I get all dressed up and put my pretty face on, all the while half awake. Once I get there a lady there tells me that I am not suppose to come in until Thursday so I have to turn my ass around.

Today I go in on the right day, my palms all sweaty and myself more nervous than I was Tuesday, I wanted to high tail it out there. Pushing my fear aside, because I am tired of it getting in the way, I walked in and introduced myself to the receptionist. She gave me a form and on one side I was to check what qualities you would need for this job and then on the other side I was to check all the qualities that applied to myself.

Two other women vying for a job there come in and after they filled out the sheet we left for one of their conference rooms where about 4 to 5 others were in there. I felt myself relax because I wasn't along but then I began to feel worried. As I looked around the room I saw all these people who were older than me and whom I was sure had more experience then me.

Two ladies that worked there talked to us about their company and other things then we had to go around the table and answer 3 questions:
What was the most stressful part of your life?
Tell us about your family.
Why are you here?

With my luck I was the first one who had to answer these questions. Now when I am nervous my mind draws this huge blank, if I didn't have to go first I am sure my answers would be more clear and concise because I would have time to think about the questions. I ended up rambling on through the first two questions and couldn't formulate into words why I was there. Everyone but the guy beside me, whom was also young, gave great responses with no pauses trying to figure out what to say.

They told us they were looking for more than one person and that they would call all of us within 24 hours no matter what the response is. I left feeling wishful that they would want me to come back, this job has a great opportunity for growth and money, but doubtful that they will want me to come back.
