You're ducking past cave opening and an arrow whistles past your head. You immediately jump back, flattening yourself against the rocks as much as possible. In your head you chant, “Please don’t see me, please don’t see me,” and you’re convinced it works. You peek around the corner, peering into the cave. The darklighter, however, peers right back, nose-to-nose. You jump again, startled this time, but you know that there isn’t much you can do.
The darklighter readies his crossbow, prepared to fire, and you opt to take the classic Charmed Ones approach - although, you would think by now you’d know it doesn’t work as well when you try it. “Like seriously? I’m not a whitelighter. Your arrows? Totally won’t kill me!”
“What happens if I shoot you in the throat?” he sneers, and you instinctively put a hand on your throat. You channel your telekinetic abilities through your hand and try your best to push the crossbow out of his hands. Well, that doesn’t work. However, you do manage to knock him down.
You quickly reach for the athame in your boot as he scrambles to get his footing again. You throw the knife quickly and manage to hit him. You sigh with relief as he bursts into flames. His crossbow clatters to the ground, and you snatch it, deciding you should take it back to destroy it or something. You shrug and grab a small potion vial out of your back pocket. “Mission accomplished,” you say to yourself as you toss the potion and step into the little puff of smoke it creates. You disappear, leaving no trace that you were ever there.
