OOC: Weekend Update and Stuff.
I hate when I miss things. :< And I have a moment of free time to check things and then want to kick myself for whatever kept me away. Hrrrn.
Worked a lot this weekend. Felt good, seeing as I had responsibilities entrusted to me that I usually don't (i.e. starting the barn myself without being supervised) and got a few good workouts with all the work. Plus I got to ride which was a.. plus. Yeah. >_>
New pic from work! :D There's several horses I've only had limited interactions with for one reason or another and one of them was this lovely guy. His name is Hogan and he's a Thoroughbred. Former race horse. It's a bit blurry with trying to take the picture with my crappy phone camera while he was moving around. He's a lot of horse, especially for someone like me who is very small. I have to use a foot stool when I groom him so I can reach his back. It's comical. But it's stuff like that that amazes me when an animal his size will so patiently and kindly follow my lead when he could so easily just drag my ass down the road without breaking a sweat. Fun to think about, when you don't have one on the end of a lead line. XD
Then Squall and I went out and had a movie night and it was all very lovely, but of course then I was TIRED so I pretty much fell asleep as soon as I hit the pillow. B[ I'm still recovering from Friday because the cooking turned out superb but was a lot of stress revolving around it. Today was more work and then quality time and soon, bed. Squall's ship heads out for training soonish so I'm trying to get in all the uninterrupted-hanging-around-time I can, because I know it'll just be me and the internet once he's out. :o
Been intermittently watching him play Skyward Sword and playing it myself. Aside from a minor gripe about the motion controls while swimming I've been very, very pleased with the game. I mean.. I think I would've liked it either way because the last few Zelda titles I've played, I've loved (it's a damn good formula that I enjoy) but this one went just above and beyond on the awesome. And it's LONG. And did I mention awesome? *_*
Planning to get some writing and drawing done this week. And generally catching up with what's been going on here on the interwebs. I miss people. D: Kicking the idea around of taking requests for character portraits/icons since I ought to draw something other than my own elf once in awhile. If it's a go, I'll make a separate post for it. <3
