(( I tried this meme about a year ago and the results were never fit to be read. But today these will hopefully help me work up some momentum and some inspiration for the longer blog I'm working on. Each section is exactly one hundred words for each character. The topics vary. The only uniting thread here is the theme of being exactly one hundred words. ))
When was the last time you were happy?
Not since before all the wars..
Before everything we knew was destroyed. When we had a family. Before everything became my responsibility.
I hate this holiday now. It used to be my favourite.
But that was before the burden of the dead was so great and all the disappointments..
The fire burns, and Light knows I have so many regrets and failures I could stand to burn.
But if I fail to keep them close.. forget them.. let them fade-- No.
You didn't learn anything unless you experienced the pain.
These things I must hold, until the day I die..

A curse of memories.
How much easier it would be if, like so many others, Traejan simply did not remember. He would no doubt still find the state of the world to be reprehensible, but at least it would not come along with the crushing realization that it would never be right ever again.
Everything and everyone good about that world was dead or lost. Telarion was hopeless. Tarin was young and could still manage to be led astray. And when he'd helped to mold her into something proper, it would be different.
She would never be a Lady like their mother.

I watch the arguing in the tome. They each call each other murderers and point the finger..
I wouldn't want anyone to die. I feel bad for the ghouls, because I've met some very nice ones.
But what becomes of them if you simply round them up?
They'll survive, sure, but is that a life? Do they ever get out of their pens? Do they experience any other thrill in their lives beyond feeding time?
... Do ghouls think like that in the first place?
I'm not saying that they should let the Crusaders go around killing..
I just wish I could understand the undead better.
