Spring Break! Yeah. It's been a good one. Finally got to see my loves in Ashland, but didn't get to spend nearly enough time there. I wish I was there still. And how could I not? There were A&E Mysteries, an awesome minty drink that I can't remember the name of, a truly chill (but sadly expensive) pub, whimpy's wish $5 bacon cheeseburgers, Christine, ducks and baby owls, steely dan, good conversation and comfy futons. I know I have the world's worst timing, but I appreciate everyone putting up with me through all their own troubles. It was beautiful. Thank you, darlings. I miss you already.
Salem was also refreshing. Saw Kaleb with a K and spent some time that didn't end with one of us crying. Ha! Instead we got drunk and laughed our asses off. I really needed that.
Arrived home just in time to go to the Sir Mix-a-Lot and Tone Loc concert, which turned out to be outrageously fun. I drunkenly danced on-stage in front of hundreds of people to "Wild Thing" and then schmoozed my way backstage where I smoked a huge blunt with Tone Loc and his brother (!). Hahah. I'm giggling just thinking about it. I spent a large amount of my time in their hotel room rolling around on the floor laughing, and they were thoroughly amused. I made Tone say "Let's do it." somewhere around five hundred times.
I then met Sir Mix-a-Lot, who despite being surrounded by tables and tables of food and drink sent one of his lackeys to fetch him some Jack in the box. This made me laugh even more. The moral of this story is that aging rap stars are hilarious.
Classes start tomorrow. They sure as hell do.
And I can't help but notice, rereading this, that I was drunk for almost a week straight. Cheers.
Please, remember me,
Fondly
I heard from someone you're still pretty
And then
They went on to say
That the pearly gates
Had some eloquent graffiti
Like 'WE'LL MEET AGAIN'
And 'FUCK THE MAN'
And 'TELL MY MOTHER NOT TO WORRY'
And angels with their gray
Handshakes
Were always done in such a hurry
