the past month....
So wow... It's been like forever since I updated. I honestly don't feel like I've had time to breathe lately though. Here are the highlights:
-Nick and I got back together. We talked it out and we agreed that there is stuff in our relationship that needs to change in order for us to work. We're working on stuff.... Things aren't perfect but they're better. I think both of us are a little more commited to each other now.
-Rush. Holy shit. That was the most intense thing in my life. It was everynight for a week. I met so many girls, a lot of whom were really cool, a lot of whom were just kinda weird. It all worked out and after much to do Alpha Chi got 31 new girls which is great because now our house is one of the largest on campus with 105 girls. It was just interesting being on the other side. I never realized how much goes into it on the other side and how difficult it is to get into a house. Not because we're bitchy or anything just that we had about 250 girls go through rush which is a lot of girls to compete against. It's kinda like getting into college (sorta!) where even though you may be a great person, there will be a ton of other great people out there and you need something to make you stand out. Oh well it's over and done and I have my life back.
-Work. I didn't think 13 hours a week would be so bad but because they're all during the week it;s pretty tough. Luckily the people I work with have been pretty cool and I can make a damn good mocha now. It's just another time commitment. But I need the money so I will stop complaining now.
-School. 18 credits- whoa. Italian has proven to be harder than I originally thought. I'm slowly catching on. It probably would've been a lot easier to take french but oh well. My professor is so awesome though. He makes it fun to learn. French got easier with time once I go the basics down and I'm sure Italian will be the same. I LOVE my womens history class. My professor is so interesting and knowledgable. She's really funny too so she makes going to lecture fun. We're still in the 1600s so I can't wait till we move on. Animal behavior and psych are okay.... Im really hoping they get better because right now they are super boring. super super super boring.
-I'm sick. on top of everything I have this awesome head cold that I woke up with this morning. bah.
So that's been my life. Kinda lame. I haven't really gone out or anything but I haven't really had the chance either. First nick and I were broken up and I didn't want to go anywhere and then I had rush rules where i had to be home by 1 and couldn't drink or be in a fraternity. This weekend I'll be gone but next weekend... I want to go out. I need to go out and let loose.
I hate that I've been so busy. I haven't talked to people I need to talk to or should have talked to. I've been a bad friend and i'm sorry. Luckily things will calm down now. They have to.
