Everything was so quiet about that humble little town now. People were staying as far away from the rooster's ranch as possible...he'd made quite the impression in the short time he had changed.
As he sat on his porch, he noticed even his faithful steed was doing its best to stay away from him, nearly hiding behind the home. Panchito snorted, and

"Oops, sorry," a female voice apologized. Death dimmed the lights a bit in her apartment. "I always forget how bright it can be when people transcend."
She walked over and placed a plate of cookies and a mug of coffee next to the visitor who was now materialized on her couch.
"Nice to finally meet one of you, I guess," the girl smiled. "I'm Death. ...But I suppose you knew that already."

Which, of course, eliminated all fear or confusion he had.
Panchito quickly sat up straight, trying to be a gentleman. "Senorita Death!"he chirped, rather pleasantly. "So good to meet you face to face! You have even a prettier face close up!"
...Then it sunk in, and curiosity made his head tilt."...Where am I?"

She sat down next to him. "Well, specifically, you're at my apartment. I tried to decorate it as nice as I could for you." She gestured around her. Adorning her apartment were tapestries of vibrant colors, a pinata hanging near the kitchen entryway, and a guitar leaning against the wall. "Dammit," she said. "I forgot to make the taquitos."
She touched him on the shoulder. "You can stay as long as you want."

...Things slowly had begun to click. Her odd name, her knowledge of his birth, the way other people on the comm had seemed angered or frightened of her. She was Death? Literal and true Death?
He looked back down at his hands, which no longer had splatters of blood. That's right...Ramza...Ramza cut me...because...I was trying to kill him...
Panchito paused, before looking right up at her again, somehow smiling again. "Gracias, senorita Death. You are far too kind."

"So... I've got time. What do you want to do?" she asked.

...He died a virgin, for Pete's sake!
"...Senorita Death..." Panchito swallowed, and did his best to keep his face as cheerful as possible, given the circumstances. "...I know it is selfish of me to ask...but...is there any way for me to return? ...In my final hours, I hurt and insulted my dearest friends..."
Reply
"Why yes, yes there is. Considering how... unusual the circumstances of your passing were, I think there's a loophole. There's a woman right now who is not in her right mind, much like you were before you died, and much like Ramza. She'll be the one who brings you back. I give it my okay to happen."

"HURRA! MARAVILLOSO!! EXCELENTE!!!" He screamed at the top of his lungs, overjoyed that he'd been given a second chance. Oh, whoever this woman was who was bringing him back to life, he would kiss her feet!
...Speaking of that. "...Well, if I'm going to live, I guess this is goodbye for now." He took Death's hand, and vigorously shook it."I thank you for consoling me, dearest Death. Although I hope if we meet like this again, it shall be farther in the future, si?" Then, with a mischievous glint in his eyes, he leaned over and kissed her cheek...
...and was gone.
