Well, I just got done watching the last episode of Hanayome to Papa. I cried like a baby. At least I managed to hold off on the tears long enough for the hubby to go to bed (this was no easy task because, despite the hilarious moments, the show is very moving). The hubby gets all bent out of shape when something makes me cry that he can't beat senseless. He can't slowly strangle the life out of songs and movies and books, so I do try to not to watch stuff that causes me to do it so much around him.
The girl that plays the lead in that show has such a warm smile. I think she'd have to have an amazing smile, to pair so well with Junno. Otherwise, I think just him smiling in the show would overwhelm her (well, overwhelm our ability to really pay her any mind is more what I mean, though I'm not sure that's saying it well, either). But they were good together in this I think.
Though there were moments watching this where I sort of had to cover my eyes while exclaiming, "This is just so painful, I can't watch!!" which mostly referred to those moments where the father comes crashing in with the wrong assumptions. I don't want to spoil those moments for those of you who haven't watched it but might, so I won't go into specifics.
Anyway, I'm glad I sat down and finally watched the whole thing. I think the first time, I only got through maybe half of it. Not because it wasn't good but because suddenly I had some other thing I wanted to do. Then I accidentally deleted them so it took a while for me to get off my lazy ass and track it down again.
I also rewatched Nobuta wo Produce. It was even better the second time. If you were curious. I'm seriously considering watching Tatta Hitotsu no Koi again for my next show. That'll have to wait, though, because I gotta go to bed. Work in the morning and all that. Besides, I've officially run out of Dr Pepper in the "probably never have it again" sort of way and I've been caffeineless all day since I didn't go to work (meaning no coffee to cover for the lack of soda), so even after the advil I still have this splitting headache.
OFFICIAL RULING: I think Nobuta deserves a ten out of ten. Hanayome to Papa... a very solid 8 out of ten. You should watch both. Very good.
