[personal] Musing on Update
Welp, I was going to write tonight but I decided like two days ago that before I write another TWCC update, I should read the whole thing over again from the prologue on through AND all the nifty comments I got on every chapter from you all.
I made some mistakes and I hate that. For instance, if the office door only locks from the inside, then how did they lock Jin in the office at the beginning? And why did the office have a window early in the story but apparently not (it's not outright said "no window" but it's pretty apparent)? And seems that when I snuck back in to make the hotels be more like 50 blocks away from Ryuichi's stroll, I missed a few places which still say like 10 blocks away. I'm probably going to sneak back again and fix all these little problems but it can wait.
I found some funny stuff that I'd forgotten about, too. Rabbitsplosions and sammiches and so on.
Anyway, it took a LOT longer to reread it all than I expected and now I'm up 30 minutes later than I should be. So I guess I'll just have to do the writing tomorrow.
I have a new character to introduce soon in the present!chapters and I have some of it written but I'm not sure if I need other things to happen first or not. I know that it's a few months away (in-story time, not RL) because the season is changing... and I know it's before two other major events so I'm not worried about those yet. Of course, even thinking about those events make me nervous enough to go hide in Bob... I've gotten one of those events actually partially written from a while back, and some of the stuff in the aftermath of the second one pre-written as well... I have been waiting SOOOOOOO long for those parts because these are the events that are so major that I've known them for 90% of the time I've been writing my fic even before I knew the twins existed, for example.
Even if it turns out nothing major needs to happen between now and the character introduction, I'll still need a good bit of filler so I suppose it'll be not in this next chapter but it could potentially be as early as the second present!chapter from now.
Also, I've come up with some more stuff that will help me tie up the loose ends of the story when I'm writing the ending.
Oh, and I think you can expect Yamapi the reporter to show up soon, too. Bet some of you were wondering about the article that mysteriously hasn't happened or was overlooked if it had. I'll be honest... I'm not sure which way he's going to go. I have so many ideas for him that it's hard to decide.
Ah, well. It's not 40 minutes past my bedtime and the stupid exterminator woke me up at like 7:30 this morning even though he didn't show up till like 10. I'm going to bed now but I promise to get hard at work on the update in the morning while I wait for my house to warm up so I can do the housework I've been neglecting due to record low temps of freezing meanness.
