Why I like SHINee
"Why do you like SHINee?" one of my friends asked me this, this morning.
I actually do not know how to start answering this question. I don't know any good reason to give her why I like SHINee. This people do not even know me, she says. However, I am not expecting them to actually know me. That's why I am a fan. I just have to support them with all they do, and it's really enough for me if they can acknowledge their international fans as well, and most of all, I'll be really grateful if they are happy with what they are doing as an idol.
Going back, still, I cannot figure out the reasons why I admire SHINee. I feel like it's because they always make me proud. Whenever I watch them, I always feel so proud as a fan. When they sing, they are singing not just with their skills, but also with their passion and emotions. Remember "Keeping Love Again"? It's definitely one of my favorite ballad songs of SHINee. I am glad that they get to sing it live more than I expected. I always seem to tear up when they sing this live. It amazes me how those five men can bring me into a sea of emotions even when I cannot understand the lyrics. I always get amazed with all of them five, singing live.
Moreover, out of doubt, one of the best dancing groups in KPOP. They may not be as sharp as Infinite or Teen Top, but the way they carry the choreography is extravagant. They can pull out the weirdest and hardest choreographies and they will still look perfect and flawless. Maybe that's the reason why SM put them as contemporary. They can be a singing group and a dancing group. Both are SHINee's bests.
One more reason that maybe made me like them is that they are genuine. Of course I would never know what happens behind the camera. I am not after what they do or how they interact with each other when they are alone. What affects me is what they show their fans. Even if other people say that their actions are based by what SHINee and the company should be shown in public, I still don't care. For me, they are one of the most real groups out there. They are not afraid to show in public their weaknesses are. I still remember when I was watching all their variety shows, concerts, interviews,etc. They are genuine and most of the time, they are not aware of this. They nonetheless, do not care of what they do in front of the camera. I guess they know that their fans like it more to see them acting how they really are.
