An update on life as I know it

Well let's see here, what's new in my world? Hm.

In early October, I will be moving back in with my folks. I'm sure most of you know by now, but things did not work out with Matt. So I'm going home. Not permanently, I have no intention of living at home until I'm 40, just for a year or so to save up some money, get my ass back into classes, and in general just get my life back on track. These past two years especially I feel as though I've just been floundering, and not really having a purpose and a goal has depressed me. And it's really my own fault, I let myself become distracted and lost sight of what I had ahead of me. So I kicked myself in the ass, and I'm slowly but surely fixing my life.

I'm also a small business owner now. Well, I suppose I am. I've sold a few pieces of my jewelry to some of my sister's co-workers, and many of my own co-workers have expressed interest in having a custom piece made. On Sept. 15, Mom and I are going to have a booth at the Sunflower Festival in La Porte (hint hint people, come stop by!) and we'll have my jewelry, mom's hats and wreaths, and dad's stained glass. So it will be a plethora of items. (I love that word. Plethora. Hehe)

I'm currently watching Top Chef. I love this show. I'm completely rooting for Brian to win. He's a chef based here in Indy, and he's a little cutie to boot. Although CJ is a sweetie too. And he only has 1 testicle. Oh poor CJ. Ok, I'll stop babbling about Top Chef now.

Let's see, what else can I babble about? I'm incredibly excited for the 80s themed Academite party. I'm not so keen on the whole presentation idea, but I'll come up with something. Joseph suggested a wonderful theme of Communism and Vanilla Pudding. Which I don't think I smell like anymore. Come to think of it, I never thought I smelled of Vanilla Pudding. But I guess I don't spend as much time sniffing myself as some others might. That doesn't quite sound right, but it sounds good in my head. Anyhow, I'm mostly just excited to hang out with the Academites again. You all are great people whom I don't get to see very often, so it makes these gatherings all the more special. I love you guys. :-)

And now I'm off to bed. Good night everyone!
