hi rachel and robyn and jessica! jessica i am taking lots of pics of the scenery here for you. robyn hope napoleon isnt giving you too much trouble. rachel, my nainai [g-ma lolz] has a cuuuuute little bunny and i took lots of pics cuz i knew you'd love it
john, i saw that i had a missed call from you but i can't call you back. wah waah. i love you. i can't get aimexpess to work on here, so everyone's gonna have to keep in touch via lj which i pretty much have unlimited access to.
my first day here was crazy.wegot here at 10 pm ish and met with mom's family for a longass time. i love everyone here, they are so wonderful. iwish i could talk with them :[ my mommytranslatesfor me. this space bar is stickyas hell. some things aren't very different here, but other things are definately giving me serious culture shock. example: my first night at my nainai's i totally bathed in a plastic bin. no exaggeration whatsoever. nainai showed me to my bath that she'd prepared for me and the firsyt thing i thought was "wtf you have GOT to be shitting me" god i feel like such a spoiled brat after experiencing some ofthe things here! butit's all good, i like it here. but its very humid and hot here. i could go on and on but i suppose i'll share my stories when i get back.
today i looked at mynainai's old pictures of mom and i got to go throughmy mom's old clothes!! goldmine!! jesus my mom was tiny, but i don't care, i'm fitting into that shit regardlesscuz its so damn awesome. john i gave my nainai the prom pics that were in my wallet :] i'm going to send her bigger ones when i get back home.
my yeiyei is pretty awesome too. he likesto talkto me a lot even though i have no idea what he's saying. so we communicate through charades. :] he tried to say turtle repeatedly and he kept saying KURKLE. i loled. this trip has been full of lols
I GET TO GO SHOPPING TOMORROW i think. it will be bitchin. the scenery here is lovelllyyy there are lots of mountains and hills! i hope i get to see the beach soon. i am in the city of hsinchu right now.
i like being half chinese here because i don't exactly stick out like a sore thumb, but if i want to, i can.
oh also my youngest uncle is real cool too [my mother has 3 sisters and 2 brothers so i have lots andlots of relatives here]. anyway my uncle min-li [? i think that's it..] gave me a carved pendant thing of atiger that he'd been wearing. when my mom told him i was also born in the year of the tiger he got real excited. man i can totally represent now.
