I cannot afford to mail anyone anything but for those nearby I might be able to deliver. I have to get rid of stuff wholesale.
Free stuff!
Very large number of movies, tv series, and miscellania on VHS. Name it. Lots and lots of horror, sci-fi, fantasy, hollywood silver age, spaghetti cinema, cult films, brit telly, music video, eurotrash, largely obscurish kinda stuff. I may hang onto a few that I can transfer direct to digital that are otherwise unavailable, but it's all gotta go. I'd rather not toss it into the alley.
Massive vinyl collection. One of the finest assemblages of early to mid 80's metal, 70's punk, new wave, no wave, spacerock, hardcore, some early electronica (think Tangerine Dream, Kraftwerk), deathrock, goth, lots and lots of soundtracks (most rare, original Bell, Book, and Candle and Forbidden Planet, Destination Moon, Forbidden fuckin' Zone, you get the idea). A metric assload of rarities from Hawkwind to Alien Sex Fiend (autographed) to Iron Maiden to original Misfits stuff including actual fer real Misfits guitar pick from Doyle, to Zodiac Mindwarp. Lots of stuff autographed. *sigh* I may actually have to part even with my Plasmatics stuff signed by Wendy O. Williams. *sigh*
Any fuckin' furniture that can be carried away. Lovely canopy bed. Always wanted one. At least I had one for a year. Rear projection cabinet big screen (45" screen I think. Worth the price...free, just need muscle to move it).
I may be willing to sell for a modest amount my GX110 which I use primarily for downloading. Not massive firepower but not everyone needs as much as I. P3 1GHZ, 512 matched RAM two CD+-R burners one 24x one 52x. Could I suppose throw in a 48x CD burner/DVD reader(not writer). Self-built and customized case. Just now only has one Maxtor 40GB hard Drive. I can't spare more. BUT I can load the fucker with ANY software desireable. I can obtain (provided ya don't care where it came from) fully registered cracked copies of pretty near any rev of any software out there. Can give you backup copies just in case. Can also recommend what I personally consider (not without experience in these matters) the better media players. Windows media player is bloated and will slow a machine down unless you have power to spare. Right now it's running XP Pro but that's my personal(ahem) copy and unless you can reseal it (good for I think 5 reseals) it will expire soon. Depending on your needs I can include the Nvidia Geforce 5200 FX graphics card in it but those are a bit pricy and I'd as soon not lose it as it was intended for a gaming machine I'm putting together. Onboard graphics are fine for most people. For sound I have either a Creative soundblaster or Soundblaster live (also originally intended for the games machine was just gonna keep that one streamlined for the one thing, but needs must when the devil drives).
Someday I will be able to afford an actual real copy of my own of XP pro but by then I'll prolly be running Linux.
Anyhow, cept for the computer it all must go or go in the alley to be rained on (provided it ever rains) and be generally fucked up. The records make me weep just thinking about them. I was amassing my collection from 16 years old and lots of it is utterly unavailable on any other format. Lots of rarities. But doesn't really matter to my kind I suppose, eh?
