In addition to our other tour woes, we hit Ontario, drove into a truckstop to get some food and got a flat on our trailer from a pot hole. We called U-haul road side assistance and it took them 7 hours to get us a tire. We had to call back and bitch at them every 20 minutes.
We drove the rest of the way to Uxbridge, I stayed up with Dave and played navigator and dj scrolling through the ipod picking anything with a hard beat. We got there as the sun was rising, after we unloaded the trailer I went straight to sleep.
The next day we picked up presents for Ethan's folks since they were so nice feeding us and all. It was really hard to say good-bye to Ethan at the airport. Hopefully he gets some sleep!
I also forgot to mention the Ottawa show; It was great! I met a record collector/noise fan named Brad who gave me the low down on record shops hip to noise. He told me there is sizable number of noise fans but not alot of shows. I told him; all you need is a room, some ideas, and bodies present--that's all a noise show needs! Kettle Black let us crash at the house he lives in with The Ship-Shapes, who a really swell people. We sat around drinking beer, listening to records and playing with their kittens (pics to come!)
It was really good seeing Jolene again. The present she gave me really came in handy this tour, I shreaded alot of tights! Myke also really appreciated the burger, even though he has problems admitting to such things...
I had a lot of fun this tour, I really wish we could have kept going, but all good things must come to an end. I left the Jesters with all our video footage, disasters and personal tragedies included. I'm not sure what we'll do with the stuff on our end, I have to admit; it's pretty bitchin' just watching it for the memories. I've got alot of creative fodder coursing through my veins, I look forward to setting it down on paper and making it musical.
