Still in Uxbridge. The house show was amazing. Yesterday we hung out on the deck with some of the stragglers from the party, it was nice. It's a good thing we took in the beautiful weather while we could because today it's raining.
However, after seeing Lann's post I can't complain, it's not snowing. Hopefully it's not too bad when we set out for Ottawa 2morrow. This will be the first industrial strength I've been to since I was 19 yrs old (if those nights are even called that anymore).
Oh yeah, and I saw Graham Greene at Canadian Tire, apparently he lives in Uxbridge, along with a bunch of other b-list movie stars I've never fucking heard of because we don't have cable. Ethan drove us around for a bit, showing us all the new sub-divisions going in, so the yuppies can have their all inclusive living resort, golf course on premises. Miles and miles of mcmansions, what an eyesore... Not as bad as the airport they plan to put here on top of furtile farmland.
I guess everyone's hometown is going through a few changes, it gets to be like (and I know someone said this b4 I just can't remember right now) home is a state of mind you carry with you wherever you go.
See you again, from the road!
