"But not the wicked! They are like worthless chaff, scattered by the wind.
They will be condemmed at the time of judgment. Sinners will have no place among the godly.
For the Lord watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction." Psalm 1:4-6
"Why are you so angry?" the Lord asked Cain. "Why do you look so dejected? You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you! But you must subdue it and be its master." Genesis 4:6-7
"But you, O Lord, are a shield around me. You are my glory, the one who holds my head high.
I cried out to the Lord, and he answered me from his holy mountain.
I lay down and slept, yet I woke up in safety, for the Lord was watching over me." Psalm 3:3-5
"Don't sin by letting anger control you. Think about it overnight and remain silent." Psalm 4:4
"Wisdom shouts in the streets. She cries out in the public square. She calls to the crowds along the main street, to those gathered in front of the city gate: "How long, you simpletons, will you insist on being simpleminded? How long will you mockers relish your mocking? How long will you fools hate knowledge? Come and listen to my counsel. I'll share my heart with you and make you wise." Proverbs 1:20-23
"My enemies cannot speak a truthful word. Their deepest desire is to destroy others. Their talk is foul, like the stench from an open grave. Their tongues are filled with flatter.
O God, declare them guilty. Let them be caught in their own traps. Drive them away because of their many sins, for they have rebelled against you." Psalm 5:9-10
"But I say that a man who divorces his wife, unless she has been unfaithful, causes her to commit adultery. And anyone who marries a divorced woman also commits adultery." Matthew 5:32
"Watch out! Don't do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven." Matthew 6:1
"If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you.
But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins." Matthew 6:14-15
"The wicked conceive evil; they are pregnant with trouble and give birth to lies.
They dig a deep pit to trap others, then fall into it themselves.
The trouble they make for others backfires on them. The violence they plan falls on their own heads." Psalm 7:14-16
"So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today is trouble enough for today." Matthew 6:34
"Don't waste what is holy on people who are unholy. Don't throw your pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you.
Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened." Matthew 7:6-8
"Beware of false prophets who come diguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves." Matthew 7:15
"Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions." Matthew 7:20
Wisdom will save you from the immoral woman, from the seductive words of the promiscuous woman. She has abandoned her husband and ignores the covenant she made before God. Entering her house leads to death; it is the road to the grave. The man who visits her is doomed. He will never reach the paths of life. Follow the steps of good men instead, and stay on the paths of the righteous. For only the godly will live in the land, and those with integrity will remain in the land. But the wicked will be removed from it, and the treacherous be uprooted. Proverbs 2:16-22
