Did I not comment on this fic? Because I thought I did.

This was really amazing. I love this girl!Spencer 'verse, especially the complicated friendship/attraction and how protective they are. The way this ends, unsettling and with tendrils of yearning stretching throughout the band, gives me chills.

I'm really hoping for a gsf sequel.

I read Brendon so many ways in this fic. Also, I forgot to mention how perfect it was that it's from Jon's POV because we get to see more than just the Ryan/Spencer dynamic. We get his observation of Brendon, the thrum of his own feelings and the angst caused by being Tom's friend.

So Brendon. I feel Brendon has dual, conflicting (in his mind) feelings about Ryan and Spencer. First, they're somewhat like surrogate parents. They're this stable, mature force in his life that he desperately needs. And generally they're a united front, even when they quibble. But having them at odds in this magnitude shakes Brendon's already fragile sense of "home" and "family". And then there's this second set of feelings that he keeps pretty well hidden, even from himself. He wants them. He's never looked at it closely enough to define it beyond that. Usually whenever it surfaces, he shoves it back down behind playful times and friendly snuggles. But every once in a while it's clear on his face. Want. And he's not even sure if it's Ryan ( ... )

AWESOME.

i really like to see what other people get out of what i'm writing. mostly, i really wanted to know who you thought brendon's feelings were for and you pretty much nailed it, so i'm glad that i got that through.

you gave me some great insight into where brendon could be coming from that really hadn't been in the forefront of my mind, but were just. yum. excellent food for thought. and jon. oh, jon. i don't really have a clue yet where he's fitting in this scenario, but it will be fun to figure it out :D

this comment did do one thing though, i think i'm going to finish this out with two more sections (eventually, lol) - one from everyone's perspective. so spencer and jon are done, all that's left are brendon and ryan. probably the two hardest, argh.

thanks again, i really appreciate this response!

I think the Brendon piece could be challenging but really amazing. You've already presented a couple facets of Brendon's personality, his childish immature side and then his less seen deeper understanding. I cannot wait to see how you bring these two pieces together. It could be a conflict, or even a coming of age type story. Or maybe it would be about the rest of the guys realizing something about Brendon that's been there all along. No matter how you spin it, I'm really excited!

And Jon. He's always a mystery, isn't he? You think he's so up front and uncomplicated but that dude has layers!
