"Aigoo~ what the hell are we gonna do?"
"Well, I for one, am not taking care of that thing!"
"And you think I am?!  No way. Keeping it will only hold us back from living a free life together, and you know that."
"Of course I know that! But what are we gonna do with it?"
"I have no idea! Wait, we could give it away..."
"I guess we could but no matter how much i don't want it, I still want it to live a happy life and be cared for..."
"So? It will be cared for, if we give it up! C'mon babe~"
"But I want to know who gets it personally, you know? Just in case..."
"Sure, sure. So who are we gonna give it to?"
"I'm not sure - Wait! I have a younger brother who doesn't have a life and so do you right?"
"Yeah. What about them?"
"You idiot! Let's give it to them. So we don't have to take care of it and we won't be shunned by our families!"
"Babe, you're so smart, you know that?"
"I know. When we get that thing lets drop it off at the doors. Okay?"
"Sure. That sounds great honey."

------------9 Months Later-------------

A man awakes to hear an ear piercing shriek at 3:13 in the morning.

"God, what is that sound?"

He has been attempting to block out the screech to no avail for about 5 minutes already and he is slowly but surely reaching his limit.

After debating with himself for a minute or two he decides to figure out what, or who most likely, is disrupting his peaceful (for once) sleep. He begins searching his small, but comfortable (for one person that is) for anything that  could make such a noise. Eventually though, he is just as confused as he was at first. Looking high and low, ripping everything apart, and still he does not know what the hell is dieing. defeated, he sits against the front door, letting his eyes fully grasp what exactly he did to his home.

"Great. Just fucking great. Now i have to clean all this crap up. I absolutely despise my pathetic, little life." He sighs. It looks as if his plans for tomorrow would have to be postponed for Tuesday of next week, when he gets off of work early. That means no Star Craft for him until a week. A whole week. He can't wait a week to play his most precious game! (It looks as if Jasmine, his Laptop, would have to pull through with just term papers. No Star Craft for Jasmine either.) No freaking way. Huh, well that sucks for him. *sticks tongue out*

And then, that damn shriek starts up again. But this time it sounds as if it's right next to him, or perhaps behind him... He face palms himself. Why hadn't he thought of this before?! He was seriously stupider than he thought. Clearly. He arises from his place and unlocks the front door. The yelp intensifies immediately. However, when he glances in front of himself, he sees nothing but the darkness. He looks down both sides of the hallway and still nothingness. Is that even possible? The pabo (idiot) is about to shut the door when he peers at the floor to see an infant wailing. This kid couldn't be more than a couple of weeks old. If that was the case, then why is it on his doorstep?

The child was placed in a worn out cardboard box which contained a small blanket that was covering the baby. If there was, by any chance, another blanket, it was certainly thinner and compacter than any baby blanket that he ever saw. What kind of parent would do this to their own 'little bundle of joy'? (How anything that cried non-stop could be joyful, was beyond his imagination) I mean, he's heard of giving up a child and placing them on someone else's doorstep, but in a box that looked like it was going to fall apart at any given time, is just heartless.

He kneels down next to the poor excuse for a box and glances at the child's sobbing face. She (he assumes it's a girl due to the pink cloth covering the newborn) looks so helpless and lonely. Once again, he looks down the hallway to see, if by any fat chance, the parent would come to retrieve their daughter from him. He had no such luck. He turned his attention back to the little one and couldn't help but feel pity for her. She doesn't deserve this. What she deserves is a loving that cares and loves her for all her life.

There was no other option in his mind. He had to take her in and watch over her, until the morning at least. When the morning came around he would take her to the adoption center where someone could take care of her daily. The fellow picked up the still sobbing girl and cradled her in his arms with a troubled appearance on his usually stoic face. He balanced her in one arm while he picked the box with the other. Once everything was in the flat, he closed and locked the door, and turned on the light. He proceeded to make his way over to the sofa which could sit one and a half, if needed. He began to gently stroke her hair while whispering soothing words into her minuscule ears and she slowly ceased her crying and was lulled into a deep sleep.

The gentleman carefully placed her in the middle of his bed and wrapped her in multiple blankets. (It was the fourth of March after all and Seoul was recently graced with around a foot and a half of snow.) Making his way back tot he main room, he discovered a note within the box that once held the girl. It read:

Dear Kyhyunnie,
I want you to take care of that thing I gave birth to, okay? No excuses. My boyfriend and I agreed that we still have so much to do in our lives and we don't want a pathetic little brat to hold us back. I figured you don't have a life so why not get a life by taking care of that monstrosity for me? As you can see, I have a valid point don't I? So, make yourself useful for once and take care of it. I also want you to meet Ming Ming's annoying little brothers. Maybe you two can start a little family! How cute. Or maybe you can actually get a friend! That would be a first. Anyway, here's the directions: flat 13 on the 5th floor of the Kim's Guesthouse near Hapjeong station (line 2 or 6), exit 8, go right, at the fork in the road: cross the street and stay right, go around the bend, turn right at the corner and go straight, and then turn left at the beauty shop. You should probably bring the thing with you or else the neighbors might complain with all the damn crying. Have a nice life. Don't you dare tell umma and appa. Also, don't even think about trying to give that back to Ming and I because we'll just give it back. It's not like you'll find us or anything. We're fleeing Korea. Love you. Oh, you're welcome.
                                                                                                                                                              Love,

Cho Ahra

P.S. Since you have a child to care for now, I think it's about time you stop trying to become a famous singer since you have no talent. Just some advice.

Kyuhyun sat on the sofa absolutely stunned. His noona had a kid with her idiot of a boyfriend Ming? Honestly? Yeah, he has no comment to that but it didn't surprise him that Ah Ra handed her own daughter off to him. She always did that, leaving him with her problems and letting her own brother take the blame for her wrong doings. Typical her. Whenever she snuck out at night to see Ming, she would tell their parents that Kyuhyun threatened her by getting one of his own razor blades and cutting her.(She used to cut herself because 'she was under a lot of stress which, of course, was caused by Kyuhyun harming himself with drugs. The thing is, she was the one who did drugs.) Of course their parents believed her over him. She always was their favorite of the two siblings.

After about five minutes of talking to himself (more like cursing), Kyuhyun fell asleep on the couch feeling cold, confused, concerned, cagey, calcified, cranky, and frankly, he felt like crying. And that's what he did. The Cho Kyu Hyun cried himself to sleep, for the umpteenth time in his short little life.

---------------At the time Kyuhyun was waking up to the crying----------

Another man awakens to be met with shrieking which confused him greatly. Nobody on his floor, let alone in his building, had a child. Everyone was way too young for that stuff. (No one in his building was over the age of 28 and most of them were single.) Could someone be babysitting? No, nobody in the building would do such a thing. They were all too cool for that. He finally decided to find the source of all his confusion. the first place he went to check was outside his door. (And I thought Kyuhyun was the smart one. Sheesh.) Which was common sense, no?

He opens his front door to realize the scream increased by a couple of amps and thought it best to look down. (Hey Kyu~ someone is a lot brighter than you~ hehe) The man bent down to be at least somewhat eye level with the cardboard box with a helpless infant inside. Quickly he scooped the child into his arms to  keep her (pink blankets reveal a lot, eh?) from freezing to death. He ungracefully kicked the box into his own box of a flat, and locked the door. Not thinking twice about his decision.

Holding her in both arms, bouncing up and down slightly, stroking her light brown hair, and whispering soothing words that the girl didn't understand, but somehow they seemed to comfort her immensely. But the little one refused to cease her endless cries. Soon, he rearranged her in his arms do that she was resting against his heart (he knew that babies were soothed by their mother's heart beat, even in the womb) and began stroking her back and neck in an attempt to calm the desperate baby girl. It worked, she was lulled into a deep sleep minutes later and the man was clearly relived. He situated her, once again, so that her head was resting on his shoulder or more like the side of his lengthy neck.

He pondered why a newborn was placed outside of his door and if he should, more like could, keep her as his daughter. He had always wanted to be a father, not this soon but when life gives you lemons...* He wouldn't really mind being a single father if it meant that this abandoned little girl had a home and a family, or at least one person who cared for her. (How sweet) Then he went on trying to figure out why she was at his door step in the first place. Was she kidnapped? Abandoned? An orphan? Or was she specifically at his door, on purpose? He decided to set the sleeping angel down in the middle of his bed so she wouldn't hurt herself and then he set off to investigate the box she was 'delivered' in. Peering inside, he saw a note plainly taped to the bottom with his name written on it with familiar handwriting. Ming.

Dear Zhou Mi,
Take care of it, you hear me? You don't have a life so it's yours to keep. I know you want a kid so here, take mine. I'm begging you. Yeah right. I, unlike you, have a life that I intend to live to the fullest. I don't need that in my way and Ahra agrees so your stuck with it. Have fun. Oh and Ahra's asshole of a brother, he's youger, is going to stop by your "flat" or your lack of a flat, to meet you. Congrats, I'm also granting you a little boyfriend to fuck. Lucky you, gay wad. Have a nice fucking life with your "husband" and child. Try not to miss me too much cause I'm moving of out of the country with Ahra. You tell mom and dad and I'll castrate you and take that thing away from you, you hear? I know you wouldn't want me to take away your precious child, would you Mimi? Your welcome.
                                                                                                                              Love,
                                                                                                                        Zhou Ming
P.S. Stop attempting to sing and/or get famous. It's useless because you fail at everything in life as well as life itself. We all know you can't sing, so stop.

Zhou Mi's jaw dropped so much that he thought it was dislocated at first, but he managed to put it back in its proper place after some time. His older brother, who barely graduated from preschool, elementary, middle and high school, now has a child. A precious little girl to call his own and he threw her away like she was an unneeded object. Who, in the world could be that cruel to a helpless new born baby? (Oh! Zhou Mi knew the answer to that one! Zhou Ming! Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner folks!) Just because Zhou Mi wanted a child, didn't mean he wished for his brother to be so cold-hearted, especially to his OWN little girl. His little bundle of joy. Zhou Mi actually started to cry.

He felt so much pity for the young girl he could now call his own. Her own parents rejected her simply because 'they weren't ready to be parents and that was complete bull. He himself wasn't ready to be a parent! He imagined to find his true love, get married, settle down and have children, watch them grow up, and live happily with his lover. Well, that dream was gone, obviously. It seemed as if he would receive the child first, find his true love (if they accepted the fact that he had a child already), get married and live happily with his lover while watching his child grow up. That was just messed up. But at least he had someone to love, care for, and help him through the situation. He was always the positive one in his family and he wasn't  going to stop being optimistic now when it was needed the most.

This little girl would be the center of his life, he could just it within him. He would spoil her rotten, but make sure her morals were still straight. (if that makes sense) He would do anything to make her happy because her happiness would ultimately make him happy as well. She would help him continue  to find a partner in life, just so she would have two parents instead of just one. He would find someone caring, loving, gracious, beautiful, funny, trustworthy, sensitive, easy going, honest, and most of all respectful and understanding. He fetl respect played an enormous role in any relationship; if they couldn't respect each other than how can their relationship develop properly? Understanding was the key as well. People that don't understand each other's wishes will most definitely fight and that wouldn't be good for his little girl.

He slowly walked to his 'bedroom' after turning off the lights in the main living area, to find his baby cutely sprawled out in the middle of the bed leaving him no space whatsoever. To fix this meager problem, he cradled her in his lanky arms and was sure to put his only pillow against the wall to prevent her from hurting herself. Zhou Mi held her with her back facing the wall, against his bony chest, with his back facing the edge of the petite bed so she wouldn't fall off. Then he placed the covers over both of them but made sure that she was fully surrounded by the blanket. He concentrated on her breathing which gently lulled him to sleep. If someone was to see them in this position, they would have thought that we were all each other had. That wasn't far from the truth.
