In September, I will be teaching a grade 2 - 3 split :)

I started my teaching career off with a grade 6 - 7 split... good luck!! :) Hehe. Just kidding. I am sure you will do great! Are you looking forward to return to school in September?

I am and I am not... if that makes any sense at all :)

Oh my gosh... I am so worried about my up coming class as well... I already have the first day jitters weeks in advance :)

Wow, that is so awesome you are going to a new school. A lot of teacher's stay in the same school and never move around. Have you met with your new staff yet? Why did you change schools?

I have been at the same school for a few years. I think in a year or two, after my boyfriend gets settled in his career (he is thinking about going to Teacher's College in 2006) I might change schools as we want to move out of the big city and live in a smaller community.

I really like my school, but the idea of trying something new and different... well, I like that even more! :)

Yes I briefly met the staff the last day of work. it's like "hi" and then a meeting and I didn't really feel like I got to meet too many new people. got to check out my room at least and see the school. my friend Beth already works there so I'm not too worried about having no one to talk to.

I didn't have much choice about moving. my principal (who i affectionately referred to as "adolf") had me transferred. he claimed i was redundant though there were some rumours that he was bringing in a relative. the almighty principal, yaknow?

Aww, that is so awesome that you have a friend on staff! :) I am sure you are going to have a great year. It is good that you are rid of that horrible principal as well... a principal can make or break a school... or a staff. Have you started getting ready for September? I am a sucker, I know, as with two weeks of summer holidays remaining, I am already beginning my preparations. Such a keener!! :)
