Coughing like nobody's business

It's my first full day back in school since I've been sick. I came in for a half-day yesterday since my fever was gone, but I needed to sleep in that morning. I've been feeling a little better, except when I had this horrible hacking cough during Rucker's class that would not stop...it's scary when even drinking mass amounts of water doesn't help. I don't have much make-up work, but my teachers seem to be going through the let's-see-how-fast-too-much-homework-will-kill-Molly drill. I have two papers due, one on Tuesday and a fifteen-page one due Wednesday (for internship...I think I hate this class more every day). Then I have a debate for Comparative Government, a biology test and lab due on Tuesday as well...this is all in addition to my make up physics work due next week.

So O'Bryan and the orchestra apparently had it out while I was sick (feeling very lucky that I wasn't there). As horrible as the whole ordeal sounds, the new regime began to today, and it's sooo much better!! O'Bryan was completely chill...we actually accomplished something in rehearsal for the first time in weeks. Which is good, because adjudication is only about a month away, and the music doesn't get much harder (especially for the still-very-bad cello section). I love the song I Have Built Myself A House or something like that...it's soo pretty. Orchestra's finally back on track, after O'Bryan realized that we wouldn't practice more or listen to him if he behaved like a total asshole. He's getting married in July (that's probably half of it)...I hope he has a wedding planner or he might just get crazier and more stressed as the year goes on.

Supposedly the spring trip to Virginia Beach is being shortened. It was going to be from Thursday afternoon through Monday afternoon/night, but not we're leaving 6:00 am (no, I'm not typically conscious at that hour) Friday and coming back at some ungodly hour on Sunday night probably. Friday's supposed to be our free day at the beach. I like the beach, but only if it's truly warm, which I doubt in Virgina in April. Myrtle Beach wasn't particularly warm last year around the same time. I looked online at the hotel we're staying at (unless this has somehow changed) and it's really nice...supposedly every room has an oceanfront view with a balcony (yay!) But the indoor pool didn't look particularly large (at least in the picture), and there was no mention of an outdoor pool. This is fine with me, because I don't like the pool (chlorine is so disgusting...my hair's bad enough as it is, I don't really need chlorine to kill it on top of it all). But the one at the hotel in Myrtle Beach was nice (REALLY warm, which is the way I like it). So then Saturday's our competition day (erg...long and boring, usually) and that night are the awards. Sunday we go to Busch Gardens the whole day. I love Busch Gardens but don't love amusement parks (the rides usually make me throw up) and since I don't know anyone else that doesn't want to ride roller coasters all day, I think I'll be kind of lonely...

Shea and I were trying to think of something fun to do for my eighteenth birthday (it's sooo close!) but we came up empty-handed, mainly because I'm older than most of my friends (including Shea), so all that cool stuff that you can do when you're eighteen...I'd have to do it alone for my birthday, which is no fun. O well...I'll think of something.
