Okay, Kellie, this is all just my speculation and personal opinion, so the most important thing for you to do with what I wrote here is to look at it as a guide to more clearly seeing your thoughts on this, and definitely not to take anything I say as gospel. For your conveniences I put the summaries of each part of the dream in bold, so you can skip most of the rest of this as you see fit.
/
The building indicates this is about you. Groups indicate a variety of your personality traits - A good question to ask yourself isn't "Who are these people?" but moreso "What do these people represent, how do they make me feel, or what attributes do I associate them with?" In this case, what does Matt represent? Is it a set of feelings you have, a time in your life, a way of living?
Waiting symbolizes control issues and the test symbolized insecurities. The numbers tell us that there is a sequence to this, that it happened in some order. Maybe that means this is about the part of your life in which Matt or Matt-like things were very present?
Your number being after his in the dream means you put him before you in life. Funny enough, having put Matt-related or Matt-represented issues before your own, perhaps putting his feelings or needs before yours, kept him from entering the room to which the lady called him. That room he was late for represents a part of you in which he could have been applied, or a part of in some way.
So to sum up the first part of your dream, "Putting Matt before you caused him to miss the boat. Either he misses out on a relationship with you or parts of him can no longer be a part of you."
lol, just read the bold...love_leafFebruary 25 2005, 07:50:40 UTC
// Second part
Your family sort of represents the spirits of things. The TV having told of the relatives operation and death shows that there is some element which brings you pain. (PS I'm sorry for your family's loss. Angelique told me about it.) The fact that it was news in particular telling you all this also means it has something to do with your companions. Since it was bad news it means there might have been an unfortunate incident with a companion... Matt the other night?
Looking away from one part of yourself, (one room) you look into another, (different room) and here you see Matt again. It being Jordan's sister we see here instead of Jordan tells us that this has to do with either her family, or a spiritual issues. At any rate, more than just her is involved. The ice skating, done well, indicated a caution and a trust born between what Matt represents and what Jordan's sister represents.
It's a big no-no when Jordan's sister changes the channel. Not only does Jordan's sister and all she represents make the spirit of things far worse, but the fact she wanted to watch cartoons indicates that she doesn't take things seriously. lol, boy, good thing that's not exactly true and people don't write things off until someone is hospitalized. Oh wait, no, Jordan made herself terribly ill and it's supposed to be cool and artsy and dark.
When you chase after Jordan's sister and the fight goes outside, that means you're doing something about this in the real world, outside of yourself. You're interacting and trying to get across your frustration at the matter. Jordan's sister, and all she represents, retreats from your sense of reality when she runs away in the dream.
To sum this up, "Spirits are down and Matt and Jordan being poop-heads about everything makes it worse." Anyone could have told us that, but the really good part of this is that you chased after her. The fact you do something about this in real life is very healthy.
No one can say I didn't care...love_leafFebruary 25 2005, 07:57:35 UTC
//Continued
Matt is such a dick.
Him bringing back the calvary is bad. The black SUV represents control issues of the past. The notion they use this vehicle to flee the scene both here and after coffee shows us how they prefer their navigation - hit and run. The fact the SUV was black, I know from my aura study, indicates that this is an element of the past.
The fact Matt is quiet implies indirect pressure and a coldness. Your compassion for Jordan's sister is displayed then, and your apologies tell us that you were understanding and compassionate in your attempts to sort through things when it came to Jordan. Jordan's mother and Jordan being quiet in the car indicates they have little to no worthy defense for the issue. The fact that Jordan's little sister smiled at you at the end of this indicated you were very satisfactory and brought contentment to the matter. Whether that means you helped everyone believe what they wanted to, or you made everyone actually happy, is another matter. By that I only mean maybe it was easier for Jordan the girl to demonize you.
When you go to the coffee place, you're seeking insight about the situation. Since Matt's mother was there we know that Matt received a lot of nurturing for his coldness, not necessarily from his mother but just in general. When your conversation failed because of Matt's silence, it's pretty much just that -- You're trying to talk and not getting much help. Sounds accurate. When he flees to the black SUV we know he's hiding in the past and uses it to control his life.
To sum this part up, "You're not totally afraid of him going back to Jordan as much as you are him going back to his old ways, especially the ways he practiced with Jordan. Issues of trust and implied pressure on you are involved. When things are bad Matt tends to add insult to injury despite your valid efforts to understand the situation better."
I love it when forests are in dreams because I love the imagery. In this particular case it is probably pointing out that this is just you delving into your own mind to figure things out. Forests usually also indicate a period of transition, or change. The raging river was a bad sign, though, especially if it was yucky, and symbolizes both a touch of jealousy and a lack of control. Here's the first tip-off that Matt is involved with the rest of this dream.
Jumping on the pieces of wood to get across the river seems really accurate too -- Seeing pieces of wood in a dream indicates a sort of death or emotionlessness. Perhaps this has to do with putting your own feelings on hold, or hiding them in the process of dealing with them. Things like this were also apparent in the very first part of your dream. I wonder if this has more to do with dealing with difficult people? It definitely does tell us that you do get past your jealousy and control issues.
More talk of family is more talk of the spirit of things, and since it has more to do with death that's not good. Well, it's good if you feel like you were working through your feelings about the dead, but otherwise it probably has more to do with a warning about dealing with negative influences in your life, or that a piece of you is "dying," most likely a piece that could be represented by the dead. The fact that you were talking about this outloud is good, though, because it means you're sorting through it and understanding it.
Green grass is always a good sign in a dream, but the hill represents some sort of challenge or goal. Getting to "Freddy's house" could be the immediate goal, but there's probably more, for example sorting through all of this completely. The grass and this hill together means you do well with this sort of challenge or task, and this is when things get scary like only scary dreams can.
The house represents a sort of home. The fact the dead is hanging means it's on display, apparent, and in need of being dealt with. Running away here is the most important part of this entire dream because is shows you what you need to change. When you flee and fall into the river it shows your attempt to avoid the situation, and when you fall into the river, a lack of control takes grab. Since Freddy looked like Matt, he might have actually been the point of this a little moreso than Freddy. However it's important to ask yourself what Freddy represents to you, what kind of a character is he and what parts of him are apparent in this situation? Do you see him as weak, or as a victim, or strong, or as a victimizer? And what does that have to do with Matt?
Summary, "Looking through your deepest parts you can find turmoil and one final disaster that you need to cut down." No pun intended.
And the Jeremy dream just makes me giggle -- there's nothing too important there anyway though, except that maybe marijuana should be legal.
