yes this probably does make me a stupid head but i went to see the da vinci code (we were bored and there was nothing else on .... ). as a film (and by film i mean peice of fiction) it's not too bad ... i actually found it more manageable than the book which is very poorly written and enraged me because of its predictability. however, maybe the reason why i didn't find the film predictable was because i'd read the book. although i did get very very very annoed when they're looking for that second to last clue because it's blindingly obvious.
the content of the film/book itself irritates me because he attempts to base it on "fact" which is a)not accurate and b)not supported. and despite it being a work of fiction he has attempted to present it as being factual ... again very irritating for a former history student to see someone to present inaccurate poorly written not supported supposed history.
however it's just a book ... just a film. and thus rather not worth anyone creating too much of a fuss about. go and see it.... laugh at the funny bits, cover our eyes at the awful bits, ponder about the mystery that is the catholic church and the tur exsistance of opus dei. or maybe you could just go buy a homeless man a nice meal instead ....
