Still getting by. I discovered I have 'Alice in Wonderland Syndrome'. I didn't even know it was a thing until last month when I googled 'why do my hands feel big at bedtime' which led me to Macrosomatognosia and Alice in Wonderland Syndrome. Apparently, they are attached to migraine/aura and fevers.
It first noticed when I was an adolescent. Back then the symptoms were MUCH worse, I used to get bed-spinning feelings as well. My hands felt huge. The bed would spin.
There are some somewhat common 'hallucinations' that come along with this, they pop up in the AIWS discussions on various forums you can find about this. The Dumbo 'Pink Elephants on Parade' sequence and the Winnie the Pooh 'Heffalumps and Woozles' sequences make me feel really weird, and other people have mentioned 'elephants' and 'boulders' or other 'lumpy things'. If I think too deeply about these subjects I can bring on a bout of macrosomatognosia and I feel slightly nauseated.
The human brain is a super weird thing.
