This episode reminded me of the Supernatural episode about killer ghost ships. Just like that particular episode was considered Full Of Suck, this episode of Haven was as well. I mean, seriously? The electric stuff on the island wanted him to stay? Good Lord. *face palm*

Totally not feeling Random Girl Duke Was Once Married To. That is so contrived. I cannot imagine Duke (who is such a cool guy) even remotely angsting over this BLAH girl.

And Fauxdrey? Man, I wanted you to room with Audrey and stay up all night chatting about your shared life experiences. Bye, hope you come back.

Onto Nathan/Audrey:

OK, I know I was an Audrey apologist last week, but this shit is just getting to be too much. He's all having eye-sex with her in the woods and she's completely IGNORING him?!?!? I am not OK with this!!!

*deep breaths*

I'm so annoyed with this ship right now. Last year, I totally got the sense that Audrey was just as much in sync with Nathan as he was with HER. And, now, it's all coming from his side & she's off in la-la land. Where's the EYESEX??? God DAMN it. It took TEN years for Clark & Lois to hit the sack and I almost died waiting. I don't even think this show is going to last that long, so they don't have time for that same old shipping crap. AND we only get 13 episodes every summer. Show, you better not be frakking me around. If they're the OTP, then I expect some action by the end of this frakkin' season.

[/end rant]

AGREED. I mean, I do understand maybe why Audrey is not as observant, since she has no idea who she is and this shit just keeps getting more confusing. But if they're going to play that card, then we need more time like the last scene with her at the piano. She needs to be dealing with this and moving through it for it to be a legitimate excuse for why she is ignoring his forest!eyesex. It just seems like she's pushing it to the back of her mind and that is not acceptable. I need angst, acceptance, growth, and copious amounts of her making out with Nathan. If I can't do it, someone else has to. Jesus.

YES, thank you!!! If we can't make out with Nathan, then Audrey needs to be doing it for us.

Also, can I just say that I don't understand why she doesn't TOUCH him more? They're good friends; they're partners. She barely even grazed him when he had ten nails in his back. I would have loved to have her, almost automatically, touch him there and have him go, "Ow, wait. Now it hurts because you're touching me."

If they have this "Audrey is the only one Nathan can feel" card, then why don't they actually PLAY IT???

Last year's episode "As You Were" was one of my favorite episodes of TV in 2010 (and I watch a lot of TV). At this rate, I'm so concerned that Haven is not going to top it this season.

Yes, the touching thing has to change! I don't think Audrey would ever feel obliged to touch him, but I know she would do it because she likes Nathan and always wants to help. I love some good angst (as long as they're happy in the end), and what must Nathan be going through? He can't feel anything except this woman who has explicitly stated she's his friend. He has to be by her side every day, just waiting for an accidental touch or her to effing notice him at all and she's off in la-la-land (*not* angsting about what she should be angsting about). I LOVE MANPAIN. There, I said it. I want Nathan to look longingly after her, I want to see this torment that has to be happening.

I love "As You Were" too. I thought that kiss was great - there are any number of ways he could have touched her, but he chose to kiss her. It meant something, there are obviously some latent feelings there. Even if Audrey said "you know, I really like you, but I'm just not in a place for this right now (waaaaaaaaaaaaait foooor meee)", it would be less weird that they're ignoring this.

I did really like "Fear and Loathing", but I thought this episode was a little blah. They took what could easily have become stupid (seeing your "greatest fear") and really took it down the dark, Stephen King route. Plus, there was lots of manpain. <3 Nathan was just so noble and hot. But in general I thought the plot was imaginative and edgy. This one...not so much. They need to use episodes either for worthwhile TotWs or for character exposition, and this one wasn't really either. I so fervently hope Haven is not going to get cancelled. It's already at a greater risk just being a summer show. ;/
