I agree with the previous commenter that the best way to get Euros is to call your bank beforehand and withdraw cash. If you can't withdraw from ATMS there for any reason, banks usually give the best rates...Airports charge more usually, since they're catching the impulse currency buyers. The high demand for exchange at airports drives up their prices, just like gas is more expensive near an airport for rental returns.

Since you don't have any Euros on hand with you yet and you fly out tomorrow, it'd be a good idea to exchange some pocket money at the airport though, for incidentals and ground transportation. I would wait to exchange the rest of the cash until you get downtown. Paris has no shortage of places to exchange dollars. Also, if you called your credit card company, credit cards (mine at least) often give even better exchange rates than banks...but I can't vouch for all of them.

I know air travel alone, especially for such long distances, can be daunting, but it sounds like you're preparing yourself well to de-stress. I hope you have an amazing trip, and I can't wait to hear all about it and see all the pics! <33

Thank you so much for your veteran advice miss world travler!!!I did indeed contact my bank last week to let them know I am leaving the country and will be using my debit card. I think I am going to take out $60 to change, and to have ya know as oh shit money lol. I think I should be good I hope to fall asleep on the plane. If not I get in to Paris way before the rest of my party so I might have to take a nap..I know for shame.
I can't wait to share the pictures with you!!! :D
