News that shocked you the most in the past week: the news mentioned a child abuse case in which one mother had a little boy she adopted from a foreign country. he couldn't speak english well, so when he messed up the language she threatened him by cutting his ears & tongue w/ scissors. that is just plain sick!! :[
Opinions:

abortion: personally i am pro-life. i do respect other people's opinions though, so if you are for abortion, its your right to think so. i already decided that if i was in the position of having an unwanted pregnancy, i would have the child no matter what happens (in case its a rape, etc). i just think its unfair to end someone else's life before they get a chance to decide anything for themselves, even though it costs you lots of time, $$ and resources. i perfectly understand the opposite position though, i've thought it through enough times. so that's my decision on the matter.
vegetarian: people who can pull off being a vegetarian must be amazing or something. ive heard how its healthy and such. i love non-meat foods myself, but i couldnt do it since i can't go w/out meat for too long.. eh. it would be a cool thing to try though, maybe later when i can afford it lol.
