I would like to apologize for some of the things that I've been posting.  "I want, I want!" does a good job of helping me remember things that caught my eye, but don't make for very entertaining posts.

I'm posting to announce (just as I did this winter before realizing that English was going to eat me) that I'm going to spend this summer crafting.  I have many many projects to work on before the end of the summer and I only have so many weeks to do them.  Because of this, I am heavily considering simply not working this summer and getting as much crafting done as possible, but I know, if I don't work, I'm just going to spend all of my time online looking at the things that I could be making or buying with the money I could be making.

While Aimee Major Steinberger has been a major influence in my artistic and hobby endeavors, I have found a new inspiration in Vivien Hoffpauir, the designer of Candy Violet and Cute Salad.  I spent a large portion of the day moving through www.vivcore.com and finding more and more to be fascinated with about this woman!  I scoured her personal LJ vivcore and found a plethora of wonderfully designed clothing that can easily be adapted into daily wear for the cowardly lifestyle lolita!

Because of this, I (being the wannabe crafting queen) have decided to take up a little more than a few projects this summer based on what I have found.  Infact, since I'd like to get more sewing done anyway, I'm going to do far less shopping and far more crafting and thrift searching where I can.

That doesn't mean that I simply won't be shopping, for I wish that it was that simple!  Since I suck at making shirts and I simply cannot make shoes, I fully expect to still be shopping for those this summer, focusing on neutral colors, black, white, and gray so I won't have to buy as many pairs of shoes and shirts can be altered or bought for less than it would take for me to make them myself.

For cute t-shirts for daily wear, I want to support Cute Plush, Cute Salad, and Candy Violet as well as searching for cute t-shirts on sale and in thrift stores and ebay.  I want more short-ish t-shirts to sport with skirts that will still fit well over elastic bands (such as for the Annahouse skirts that pretty much only have elastic waists) as well as funky cute socks and accessories to really dress up my ensemble and make it cute without it being too intimidating/incriminating.  I want to be just enough out-there that I get looks without being so out-there that I get "are you wearing a costume?".

Cowardly lifestyle loli I want to be.

I also wish to place an Annahouse order this summer for skirts and an OP that I really adore of theirs.  I also need several more pairs of bloomers (some of which I hope to make myself (woah is the seamstress who cannot even make bloomers!) and a few new petticoats.  I need both one white and one black, both of which I believe that I will be purchasing from Candy Violet (her's just look so soft ^__^).  I also really want a petticoat that will match whatever color I am wearing the most when I get around to making it.

Unfortunately, I have not stuck by my desire to purchase something from all of the major English brands, but it's only because I've been too poor to support myself, let alone purchase lolita!  This is only going to be further hindered by my desire to make my own bits of awesomeness and put as much me in my wardrobe as possible.  I will say that if I support noone else, I will continue to support Blasphemina's Closet through advertising and hopefully consumerism.  For one, I really want one of her fascinators!  One with a mini veil!  I honestly don't know what I'd wear it with (more gothic loli if I ever get around to making it?) but she is just so amazing at making them:

If you want to see more, take a stroll over to her website www.blaspheminascloset.com and take a gander at the accessories section.  They really are amazing!

I do have two cosplays I will also be working on this summer in conjunction with all of my crafting :

My Sheryl Nome and Franziska von Karma cosplays (Franziska only if my boyfriend gets his Edgeworth cosplay done as well).  I already have the Sheryl wig and I may change the outfit of hers I decide to cosplay for the sake of simplicity.  Also, because these are for cosplay and will not be getting horribly much wear, I will probably cut a few corners to get things done faster since I clearly have other things that I want to work on as well.

As far as crafting, here are some of the things that I'd really like to touch on and make this summer:

-kanzashi (clips and tsunami kanzashi that can be worn more regularly as well as large elaborate kanzashi for wear with a kimono)
-ribbonwork (decorated boxes, pincushions, a message board, and many many other things)
-sewing (LOTS! Lolita, normal, everything!)
-hair pieces and styling (because I can't do jack with my own hair)
-cooking (including assembling bento, no meal plans for me!)
-tea making (I simply need to get better at it)

And things I would like to maybe acquire:

-kimono/yukata (furisode especially)
-kimono accessories (obi, juban, tabi, geta, etc.)
-bento boxes and cooking things
-tea cups and tea things
-MOAR TEA!

And that's what I've compiled for right now!  I'm sure there is more on my list and I will probably find even more as the summer progresses, but right now I'm trying to keep my focus relatively small to ensure that I will at least get to a few things!

And I think that I've dumped enough of an update on all you peeps.  Seriously, I know you missed me!  Once I learn to take pictures of myself, you won't be able to get enough of me!

Ahem...

See you all on the next update!
