I was flipping through the channels and glimpsed the intro to Alien: Resurrection. That didn't interest me. I saw the name Dominique Pinon. And then it dawned on me. That was the obsessive Joesph from Amelie. That still was not what interested me. I remember seeing the movie and the character he played. He was a sweet, paralyzed mechanic

Yeah, I thought it was odd too. He also didn't have a French accent. I thought that was impressive. He spent most of the movie strapped to some guy's back after his wheelchair was lost.
