we kept doing we hate men shots!!!
Well the man hating weekend is over and I'm back in the office just processing these medical records. I'm beginning to enjoy this job. Not only am I downtown which is great because you're never bored but I've made friends that force me to take my lunch everyday!
Friday, Lindy and I got together after work and headed to father and sons for dinner. I had never been there even though I lived on campus for a whole year and this place is just on the edge of campus. The food was good and the company was better. We talked about a lot of stuff most of it being on abortion since someone I know is getting one. She's preggers and her boyfriend who lives like 5 hours away doesn't want a child so she's not having it. Now I told her I was going to do research on where to get one in Ottawa. We both know where you can get one in Sudbury because many of our friends have gotten them there and joked about taking a road trip to science north and then going for this abortion. Of course we don't have the time to do this so we'll go out for coffee and then head to a clinic since I promised to hold her hand through this. So after dinner we rented just my luck, bought crunch and much and headed to my place watched it and ranted about how stupid boys and their penises are. It was quite entertaining to say the least.
The next afternoon after a full day of skating, I got ready and headed downtown since a few co-workers and I had plan to have a girls' night out which is quite refreshing since most of my friends are attached to the hip with their boyfriends and we never actually do girls' night out. It was only suppose to be dinner at Mangia but we then talked about going to Honest Lawyer and then go dancing at the drink and well I can't say no to an apple martini (which I got all the girls hooked on) we played pool, DDR and just had fun talking about girl stuff. After we crossed the street to the drink and ran into Michelle and Kathrine who are identical twins that Nicole knew. Katherine's boyfriend broke up with her last weekend and her sister took her out to forget about him. We danced, bashed this guy for breaking up with a hot girl like Katherine and did shots. It was fun but I was ready to leave at midnight but we could tell she needed us so we stayed till last call. When we were getting ready to leave, Katherine disappeared so I went back into the bar looking for her. When I found her, she was in the arms of some guy who she didn't know crying. We hugged her, got her away from the creepy guy and then went home. By the time I grabbed the bus to Barrhaven and waiting 20 minutes for a cab it was 3:30 before I fell asleep in my nice warm bed. I only slept till 9 before getting up and doing stuff around the house and it helped I wasn't drunk. Of course I took a nap in the afternoon and woke up just in time to watch fashion on ice. Then I headed to my room to watch grey's anatomy since I had missed Thursday's episode and had to download it. I cried so much so to cheer myself up, I called Jimmy. We talked about politics and that cheered me right up. We also talked about our weekends. My weekend obviously won because he worked while I was drinking! After I hung up the phone I just headed to bed and got more sleep.
Final rant about skating. Am I the only one who didn't enjoy the lady's part of the competition. Maybe because there was no competition. Mira sucked and Joannie popped quite a few jumps. The only one I really enjoyed was Leslie since she had a pretty good skate even though she isn't going to worlds. I haven't watched pairs but I made sure to text Chele during my drunken night to see if Anabelle was the zamboni again this year to be surprised she stayed on her feet! Men and dance wasn't really a surprise because with maybe the exception of Chris Maybee.
Well now I'm off to do some work.
