Karen, I think the main problem that people had with that journal was because you didn't give the other facts. You didn't say that you were making fun of her for being a bitch, but rather because she was deaf. It was a bad choice of words.

I know you just as well as Rach, and I can see both sides to this. The problem with a public journal is that other people are going to read it, and you have to be really careful with the way you word things like that. It sucks, because it's your journal, and it shouldn't matter one bit, but it does.

I've had the same problem before. Just remember, this journal is going to be read by your friends, and by a bunch of people that you don't know. You're basically writing a book, for all to read, and when you don't tell people the whole story they get confused.

I don't hate you, hell... I don't hate anyone anymore. It's a waste of time. It sucks that you lost a friend over this, but it happens. Just remember, in real life you wouldn't say "we were making fun of her because she is deaf" so it's probably not a good idea to write it either.
