whoo for Kitchener
I'm gotta update this thing quickly because I'm tired and need some sort of sleep before tomorrow.
So I grabbed a cab and went to the bus station and got on the bus. I met a girl named Kelly and we talked the whole way to Kitchener. We got in at like 2:00am and Amy was waiting for me. Although I didn't know it was her. It was quite interesting. So we headed over to her place and talked till 5:00am it was crazy. The next day we went to meet Jen and Nancy but we heard their bus was going to be 3 hours late so we hit the mall, bought film, a calendar and the CI CD. Turns out Jen and Nancy were only an hour late so we headed to Amy's place, got ready in like 5 minutes and quickly headed to the bus station where we met them and like 5 minutes later we met Erin and Erica, went to dinner and headed to the rink. That's when the fun began.
I got my ticket and then stood in line to meet Josee. She actually remembered skating in the gala back in EL. It was great. I got my picture taken with her and an autographed picture. Then we took our seats for the show. The first part was alright. But after the intermission that's when things got fantastic. All I'm going to say is that there's a chicago theme going on for exhibitions this year. But I personally liked Annie Bellemare's version the best! Jen skated to teach me tiger but had a different costume. I'm still glad I saw it live. THe whole freaking show was just amazing but the highlight of the night would have to be Shae and Vic's program. They skated to this egyptian type music and had these really cool green and red costumes. Vic actually lifted Shae into this platter lift. I've never seen a dance team do a lift like that. It was amazing!!
After was the reception. I didn't get in right away (long story) but I got to meet Shae and Vic outside of the reception area. When I told Shae I was a skater she just jumped on me and gave me a hug. So I got my picture taken with her and she signed my flag. Then I got Vic to sign it but he freaked because I dropped the flag. So after that I got inside and got my picture taken with Vic, anablle, Patrice, nikolai, peggy skipper, joannie, valerie, pascale and a whole loads of people. I actually bumped into Jen while looking for Amy. She laughed at me because I was all by myself looking for my group. When I finally found her, she was with Vic so I took her picture with Vic's hand over her forehead because her stamp had imprinted on her forehead! We compared Anabelle and Amy and Amy is taller than Anabelle. I had a nice conversation with Peggy Skipper and she asked me how I knew her name so of course I brought up the 98 Olympic thing where the announcers kept of mentioning her name. And she signed Nancy's poster as Shae's mom. It was freaking cute. Joannie was so freaking cute. She remembers Mel and Jules and we talked about them for a while with Sarah. Ok now I have nothing to say because I can't think anymore. Night everyone and I'll get my pictures developed tomorrow.
