It was... Ack!

I had an immensely nice New Year celebration last night. Here's to a new year! Here's to new friendships! Here's to a fresh start!

My aunt is still in the hospital... she's giving us quite a scare. The night before last I was on the phone with Legs (boigotbeef) at 1am when the hospital called... in short things weren't going well... I ended up driving people around and then escaping the whole deal at Leg's house. We talked and chilled and played with her rat, Hops... and then fell asleep around 5am or so. I woke up with a pain in my face... seems Legs is a wild sleeper and accidently elbowed me in the right eye. (I have a nice lil shiner going on, now) heh.

The next day, I spent some serious time at the hospital with Toni, who is now fine again.. although they still can't figure out why she's STILL running a temperature (which they are able to keep under 102). Afterwards, I chilled out at home before heading back over to Leg's house. We chilled for a bit before Tumah (sfsouthpaw) showed up- back from work. We all chilled out at the house, and I watch Legs brush Tumah's long blonde hair out... He looks so much like Jesus (the way he's illustrated, that is). It's kinda trippy. lol. Anyway, I also got to witness the incredible dynamic they share. They're about the same height, and have approximately the same hand size, and are both left handed, and just get along and interact in such a phenomenal way. They're like twins! lol.

Anyway, we all went out- stopping at Safeway and my place along the way- to Castro. We chilled and chatted at a couple of non-barlike bars, includes Cafe Flore. Very nice- they both had outdoors garden-type places. Our New Year celebration was simple and intimate... we didn't participate in any of the big gatherings, such as the one at Embarcadero (I only regret missing the fireworks- I love fireworks!), so we didn't have to worry much about the drunk masses, and the ghetto-fied drama, and whatnot. We left not long after midnight in order to further avoid the drunken, rowdy crowds, and that worked out well, especially since it began raining... *chortle*

All in all- a great start to a great start. WooT!

The only semi-uncomfortable thing that happened was not so bad. The doorbell rang while we were getting ready to leave their house... and it was David. I got the door. It was a little... odd. David is Lena's boyfriend. We never got to know each other because of the drama surrounding the way he and Lena met- I'll leave it at that... heh. Anyway, I don't really have anything against David, as a person. He seems nice and all that good stuff. He's basically just an innocent bystander... collateral damage... and whatnot. *giggles madly* Anyway, with all that's happened between Lena and I... and whatever his involvment (not his fault, I'm sure) may have been... it was just weird seeing him and remembering (fully- not just in he back of my mind) that I was in Lena's house, and all that shit... it was just weird. I was totally not mean to him. He doesn't deserve that, from what I know... I just let him in, whispered that Lena was in her room and to have a Happy New Year, an excused myself back to Allegra's room... where I shook uncontrollably and demanded that we leave right away. I don't know exactly what was wrong with me... Just so many emotions flooding into my being... it was... ack! lol.

aww... well... *smirk* *grin*

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
