All Grown Up?
I just applied for a job at the Sofitel. For those of you who don't understand what that means:
The Sofitel is a big hotel near Michigan Ave/Downtown campus. Since before I worked at Barton I always said my dream job was to work at a hotel, and for some reason I got my mind set on Sofitel. After Barton I realized that I wanted to work anywhere I got perks and hotels probably have good perks. Anyway, I put aside the hotel/Sofitel dream. Then Barton said, no job for you at graduation and Bob told me to start looking into hotels again. It turns out either hotels aren't headquartered in the chicago area or they're not hiring. Today I opened my job alert email from Monster and it said that the Sofitel was hiring an HR position. Weird? I applied, it seemed like I maybe be underqualified, and I won't get the position, but I thought that of all the hotels, for that one to be sent to me was weird.
Also I've been notifying the fam of graduation info. That's overwhelming. It's so final. Plus there's the overwhelming aspect that the rents will be here which def means issues. I wish I could get them into the apt, but I don't know how? Also I graduate a day after Bob so I've got the "Please come to my graduation" thing happening and Bob's torturing me right now.
On a last note, I'd like to make a correction to a previous LJ. I wrote that my bro had proposed to Chrissy, it is actually Krissy... I don't know why I spelled it wrong, but I feel bad about it, so please all note that. Thank you.
