I had the most amazing birthday! I think both me and Padma did - and to be honest it was nice to sit down with her and open our presents together, and the letters from home... I miss them all so much - I remember daddy would come into the room and wake us up together and bring us down for a birthday breakfast. Paddie used to get so annoyed as I would take so long getting ready, and my room was always such a mess - but I still knew where everything was!
Mama and daddy would be at the table, and I remember one year when Mama was pregnant with Pari and Payod was still at that stage where he had to put his hands/tongue/teeth on everything and I swear he was trying to eat the table - until daddy lifted him up. He had lethal teeth - I remember coming home once and finding out that he had tried to eat my hairbrush again - it was a lovely one Aunt V gave me - and it was covered with teeth marks and saliva. Eww.

I dont think I ever told anyone that I kept it - its sitting at home in my 'secret' box under my bed. I think there is also the first piece of makeup Mama gave me too - a shockingly bright cherry colour. I just wanted to be like her so much - and when she put on her makeup, I would put mine on too.
Ganesh, I must have looked a sight!

The gifts this year were perfect - but I think the most important thing was just spending time with everyone. Padma managed to find this group that make cosmetics from herbs and plants - I think they are a muggle company, but I love them! They smell so lovely and they havent turned my skin green! I am determined to figure out what is in them and lots of lovely glittery muggle hair products - my hair looks as though I have cast a charm on them, but it smells so much nicer than the charm. Not to mention the fact that when they are squished, its fun.
Lavender got me a necklace with a lovely red heart on it - perfect for me!
But I think the two gifts I will treasure most have to be from Aunt Vaishali - her necklace is so fragile that at times I am scared in case I break it, but I love the feeling when it sits on my neck. It reminds me that home is still home.

And Neville's gift - the hairbrush and mirror set, it reminds me of the one Aunt V got me all those years ago. And the slides . Theyre just like him - practically perfect in every way.
I think I maybe be falling in love with him.

Oh Paddie! You should see what Neville got me, its pefect! In fact, its beyond perfect. Please say you will come and see me!

The present was lovely - have I mentioned this already? Thankyou so much Neville - I had a fantastic day. What are you doing after dinner?

Thankyou for your birthday wishes - I had a lovely day - I am glad it didnt rain though! There is nothing worse than having it rain on your birthday - unless of course its monsoon season. Because then its more than likely to rain.
Anyway, thankyou and I am free for the rest of the afternoon if anybody wants any help with anything.
