yikes. i don't quite know how a week went by without me posting. i swear i wasn't trying!
i had a lot of time off in the past seven days. instead of getting restless, i enjoyed every minute, because starting very soon, i'll be working 5 days a week. and yes, i realize many of you do that already, but i'm used to bouncing around more, from project to project. being tied down to various desks for the whole week is going to feel weird. however, i am not knocking the work, because i am happy to have it.
still no word on the housing pre-approval. i guess the process just takes longer when you factor in all the various things that come up for consideration. i'm starting to feel nervous - sometimes no news isn't necessarily good news - but danny tells me nothing is "wrong" so i continue to believe the loan will go through.
i've been playing more WoW than normal, mostly because my death knight hit 80 and was immediately geared up and dragged into heroics by a few over-excited guild members. however, thanks to x-fac imports and dual spec, we seem to have plenty of decent tanks and healers nowadays. i am enjoying tanking (frost spec), mostly because all i have to do is piss things off. there's no race to top the dps chart. however, it's stressful right now because DK threat is generated by dps, and everyone has better dps gear than Pyrsephone does. once her gear is at their level, she'll have no problem... but for now i keep feeling guilty. which sucks.
things are mostly proceeding on an even keel. i am crafting more, which is full of win. i seem to be cooking less, something i mean to remedy, but at least the kitchen has been cleaner lately. the holidays are approaching, and i'm not quite ready to begin thinking about that whole song'n'dance, but i do have ideas for presents and menus. life may not be the most exciting right now, but it's full of happiness, and for that i am supremely grateful.
