i haven't been updating as much, and i've finally realized why -- i now use twitter as a dumping ground for the random things that amuse me during the day, leaving LJ open to the deeper writings/musings. unfortunately, this week was so busy, i didn't really have time for lots of deep musings. then again, that's also sort of fortunate... at least i don't wallow as much!
i really do wish more people were on twitter. i realize it's not for everyone, but it's cheaper than text messaging, and you really do keep tabs on people more easily. and the character limit ensures you don't need tens of minutes to catch up.
work has been fairly steady, which is normal for spring, and i am grateful for every hour worked. isaac (former housemate) turned me on to an excellent sci-fi/fantasy book series and he's generously hooked me up with the audio books, so my drives to/from vallejo are times of self-involved, booky joy, as opposed to angry time wastes.
the house is a jumble of boxes still, but at least there's no more incoming! i have weird dreams in the new house though. last night's was particularly terrifying... i almost never wake up crying. i'm hoping switching positions in the room helps, but i should make a dreamcatcher all the same. both aiden and lara are loving the new house, and for that i'm very very grateful.
i suppose i should at least pretend to work!
