(no subject)
SF is in the middle of a minor heat wave. you can tell it's a heat wave, even if the news doesn't say so, when the breeze off the bay is warm instead of cold. western SF has some fog going on, lucky bastards... but, it's supposed to cool down through the end of the week.
today didn't start off so well. i woke up after a too-warm night still caught up in some nasty dreams, and we're pretty much out of breakfasty foods, so i felt pretty weak. i left on time for the ferry, but today was Spare the Air (free public transportation before 1 pm) day AND a Giants day game, so there was no parking and i missed my boat by 90 seconds. then i realized i'd forgotten my xootr at home, meaning i'd be hiking through the SF heat, rather than gliding. and THEN i realized that i'd left my debit card and my cash in another pair of jeans. /sigh.
on the upside, the ferry was free, and i had an excuse to go to noah's bagels because the store is on my walking route, but not on my xooting route. also, MUNI wasn't as packed as it was on monday, so i wasn't a sardine.
.... and apparently, my ipod shuffle just arrived one day early. that's cool, i'll have it for tonight's workout.
so, most everything has balanced out, except i'm overheated and my debit card is apparently missing. what the holy fuck is going on with my cards these days?! they must hate me 'cause they keep sneaking off whenever they get a chance.
