The House
I know of an abandoned house on rochester road that's haunted. We go into the house through the garage because the police have put really strong boards on the rest of the first floor windows and doors. The garage actually points away from rochester rd. and the house is surrounded by trees. The drive way (which must have been gravel) is long since over grown with weeds. Once in the garage there's stairs to your right and a doorway to the basement in front of you. Once you enter the basement there is stairs to your left. There's a male ghost who is in the basement that I felt the first time I was there. In the basement, it is split into two sections by a furnace, for a while no one would go beyond the furnace into the dark corner (that's where the ghost is felt strongest). One time Kazi and Sarah had a lighter lit so they could see because they were going to go into the corner. Well they got past that point and the lighter flew out of Sarah's hand, that sent everyone running away. Going up the stairs in the basement you enter what looks like the kitchen (you can't really tell which room was which because of all the vandalism). In the kitchen there is another set of stairs that look like they're going up to the second floor but if you look up you see that the stairs led to absolutely nowhere. These stairs have been named "The Stairway to Heaven". Further examination of the ceiling that the stairs led to shows no hole, door, anything that would hint that these stairs were suppose to go upstairs. During another one of our visits to the house Steph, Kazi and me were passing the stairs to go back down to the garage (down the stairs that go into the garage) where our friends were waiting and I heard foot steps coming from the second floor above the stairs... we had just been through the whole house and no one was there except us. Steph had turned around at the same time as the foot steps with a scared look on her face but when I later asked her if she had heard them she said she hadn't, and neither had Kazi. From the kitchen you head towards the front of the house to the hall where the stairs to the second floor are. The living room (which has to door ways) is to the right and what I think was the dining room is to your left, this room is also known as the dark room because it is the darkest room in the whole house. The stairs that go up to the second floor are right next to the dark room. The banester has been torn down by teens and is laying on the floor next to the stairs. When you go up the stairs the hall goes to the left and the right, we tend to go to the left because the master bedroom that we call the yellow room (yes I know we have no imagination, heh) is where we hold seances and stuff. My second time in the house we were entering the yellow room and I saw a white orb like thing at the bottom of the stairs going into the dark room. I first put it off as it being my friends pants (you know dip dyed) but then I actually looked at her pants and they were solid dark blue. I believe that it was the old women ghost I saw entering the dark room. On Halloween of 2001, under the full moon we held a seance in the yellow room. Earlier that evening while we were trick-or-treating I had lost my knife my brother gave me for my birthday. After a failure to actually hear from the ghosts of the house in the seance we were getting ready to leave. I looked in the see through pocket from my watch but in place of my watch was my knife I had lost earlier in a totally different neighborhood. My friends and I think that it was the ghosts who gave me back my knife and in return took my watch, *laughs* it was a cheap watch anyways. I bet it was the children ghosts that supposedly inhabit the place (I personally haven't seen or felt the presence of them). Across the hall from the yellow room is the blue room, heh. It's a smaller bedroom. Down the hall (to the right of the stairs) is a bathroom and what looks like another kitchen and another really small room. In the bathroom there's a hole in the ceiling leading to the attic. The folding stairs are long gone. During my second visit to the house after seeing the white orb, Kazi wanted to get up in the attic so Xstine and I tried lifting her up. We weren't quite strong enough to lift her all the way up but she was high enough to attempt to pull herself up. She didn't make it but after we left she told us that she saw someone up there. The house is badly vandalised on the inside, teens wrote and drew things all over. The first time I was there Kazi was smashing the windows and I had to get her to stop because I could feel how angry the spirits were getting in the house, it was actually causing me pain but that's what I get for being psychic. Well, that's the end of my most memorible experiances in that house, but it won't be the end of the experiances, I'm going back up to Rochester in a couple weeks and we're going back to the house.
