the siwon-lookalike ;;
~

Sehun is on his lunch break when Jongin texts him a rather suspicious-looking message. He sticks the ends of his metal chopsticks into his bowl of bimbimbab when his phone buzzes in the pocket of his black skinny jeans.

With quite a fair bit of effort, Sehun manages to pull the phone out from the skin-tight restrains and slides a thumb over the screen.

Somewhere across the table, someone lets out a snort and a quiet murmur about getting pants that will actually allow his balls to breathe. He ignores the snide comment in favor of focusing his attention on the message. Some people will never understand the well-known fact that Oh Sehun places fashion and what makes his butt and legs look gorgeous far and above comfort and functionality.

The Dark Lord:
BABE ALERT!!!!! IN THE SHOP BUYING PANTS ODG ASDF’;LKJ!!!!!

“Huh,” Sehun mutters intelligently - frown creasing his forehead as he silently counts the number of exclamation marks. His frown deepens when he reaches the number ten - the highest Jongin has ever sent him. And was he supposed to know what that jumble of letters meant? Sehun shakes his head slightly. His best friend could be so unreasonable at times. Jongin knew very well that Sehun did not have the ability to read minds, much less (and heaven forbid) his mind.

He looks up and shoves the electronic device into the face of the young man seated across him. “Hyung, do you know what this is?”

Yixing looks up as well; raising his eyes from the bowl of Ramyun on the table in front of him, and licks his lips - lips that were shimmering and glistening with a thin sheen of oil from the noodle broth. Sehun’s gaze follows the sweep the older boy’s tongue, and swallows the lump forming in his throat.

Yixing goes a little cross-eyed as he makes out the words. Sehun think it’s adorable.

“A text message from He Who Must Not Be Named.”

Yixing deadpans, corners of those delicious-looking and tasting (Sehun can vouch) lips lifting fractionally.

Sehun raises his gaze and scowls. “I know it’s a text message. I just don’t get the meaning of it. Like, what does the jumble of letters even mean?” he pauses before continuing. “Is it code for something? Am I supposed to know what it means?”

“Pabo-ah,” Yixing rolls his eyes and scoffs lightly. “Voldermort there is key-smashing you silly goose. He’s obviously quite excited about some customer. I think he wants you to get your skinny-ass self back to the shop now,” he shrugs nonchalantly and returns to his food.

The younger man frowns. “And what makes you think that? How do you even know what he wants?”

Yixing calmly slurps up a strand of noodle. “I just do,” he says simply - lips curving up into that infuriating smile of his.

Sehun parts his lips to say something when his phone buzzes with a new message. He looks at the screen and silently mouths out the line of text.

The Dark Lord:
Where the hell are you man? Get your skinny-ass self back here. ASAP!!!

Three exclamation marks this time. Huh. Jongin must be pretty darn excited. That customer must be a total knock out for the usually emotionless boy to get so hyped up. Even his reaction when he got a PSP for his birthday present could be considered as dull compared to this. And he had whined to Sehun about the gadget for weeks. Sehun winces internally when he remembers the hole in his wallet caused by that stupid chunk of metal.

“I’m right, aren’t I?”

Sehun looks up and squints at the other male. “What are you? Psychic?”

“Nope,” Yixing says, popping the ‘p’ through pursed lips. He uses his chopsticks to search for anchovies in his soup. “I just know how his mind works that’s all. Aha! Gotcha!”

Yixing offers Sehun the tiny fish. The younger boy wraps his lips around and sucks on the ends of the proffered utensil. “An indirect kiss, hyung,” he mumbles gleefully around the metal. The elder giggles softly at his silliness and tugs the chopsticks out of his mouth.

“I suggest you go check up on Jongin, Sehun-ah. He might wet his pants.”

Sehun snorts, chews, and swallows before slowly getting to his feet.

“I’ll be going then.”

He says - looking expectantly at Yixing.

Yixing blinks up at him, plasters a wide toothy grin - dimple winking, and makes a shooing motion with his slender hands. “Go already. I’ll see you later.”

Sehun shoves his hands into the pockets of his sweatshirt and makes no move to leave, eyes trained on the older boy.

Yixing shakes his head slightly, stands up and leans slightly forward - placing a quick chaste kiss at the corner of the Sehun’s mouth. “There. Happy?”

Sehun looks at him with eyes that were like half-moons before swooping in to capture the older boy’s shining lips in a proper kiss. “Now I’m happy,” he whispers. “See you at home, hyung.”

He walks away from a gently smiling Yixing with a grin on his own face and a spring in his steps. “I want beef for dinner, hyung,” he tosses over his shoulder.

His grin threatens to split his face into half when he hears the elder’s warm slightly accented voice.

“Yah! You demanding cheeseball.”

-

Sehun steps off the escalator - a Starbucks cup in his hands, and makes his way in the direction of the clothing shop he works at.

He comes to a standstill when he sees Kris heading out of the shop, arm slung casually over a shorter man. Sehun notes with a faint interest that the man is quite handsome and has an uncanny resemblance to that Choi Siwon from Super Junior. The two men were talking rather intently to each other, sporting matching bright smiles on their faces.

Interesting...I wonder what kind of relationship they have, Sehun muses thoughtfully as he resumes walking. I haven’t seen Kris smile like that ever since Chanyeol hyung dumped his ass for that Byun what’s-his-name.

“Hello!” he says brightly when the other two is within hearing distance.

Kris looks at him, pointedly looks down at his watch, then back up. He arches a terrifyingly thick bushy eyebrow and says slowly and clearly. “Your lunch break was over forty-five minutes ago, Sehun.”

“I know,” Sehun fixes him a cool look and raises his own perfectly manicured eyebrow. He lifts up his wrist. “I have a watch too, and it looks ten times better than yours, if I do say so myself.”

He turns to grin at the silently laughing Siwon-lookalike. “Hi there, my name’s Sehun. Are you this guy’s boyfriend or something?” Sehun asks without preamble, jerking his thumb at the older man.

Siwon Jr. looks up with eyes as round as dinner plates, evidently surprised and taken aback by the sudden question. “I uhm - ”

“That’s really none of your business, Oh Sehun,” Kris frowns. “Get your ass back to work before I fire you.”

Sehun crosses his arms across his chest and scoffs. “You wouldn’t dare,” he takes a sip from his cup. “Jongin won’t have a reason to stay on if I’m not here; we all know that that sweet-talking bastard is your best sales man, and there’s simply no one else who is willing to work for you,” Sehun counts the reasons off his fingers with a smug expression on his face.

“Face it man, Jongin and I are a package deal. And since he’s indispensable to you and your puny little shop, so am I.”

Kris simply smiles pleasantly and says, “Oh? Is that so? I have a feeling that Yixing might very well say yes to working here if I asked him though. Should I?”

The smirk on Sehun’s face immediately vanishes and is replaced by a snarl. “Don’t you dare touch him you fucker,” he venomously spits out. “I swear to God, if you even touch a hair on his head, I will end you Kris Wu.”

“Ooh...getting jealous are we?” Kris grins and tightens his hold on the man beside him, steering them both away from the fuming Sehun.

“Get back to work Sehun, I do not pay you to threaten me.”

-

Joonmyun looks at man beside him. “That kid knows Yixing as well?”

“Yeah...they’re in some sort of twisted on again-off again relationship.”

Kris replies, shrugging his shoulders slightly. “I really don’t see what Xing sees in him though. Then again, it’s Yixing, and Zhang Yixing always does what he wants right?” he chuckles softly, fond smile playing on his lips.

Joonmyun frowns and pokes him none-too-gently in the chest. “You still call him Xing? I didn’t know that.”

“Old habits die hard I suppose.”

“And.... you’re sure you don’t want to get back together with him? I mean, you still seem to like him very much.”

The taller man smiles a lopsided grin and says softly.

“I have my eyes on someone else now, Joonmyun-ah, you of all people should know that. And besides, Yixing’s happy with Sehun for whatever reasons.”

Joonmyun flushes a pretty pink, blush creeping up his neck, spreading out and dusting across his cheeks. “And does Sehun know about your very colorful and illustrious history with his boyfriend?”

“Of course,” Kris smirks. “Didn’t you see how murderous that brat looked when I mentioned Xing’s name? I might have made things difficult for him in the past.”

“Ah...so that’s why. I was wondering why his reaction was so big,” Joonmyun laughs softly. “And that other guy? That tan one, Jongin was it?”

Kris looks at him. “Yeah Jongin, Kim Jongin. What about him?”

“He’s quite attractive,” Joonmyun says earnestly

Kris’ bushy eyebrows shoot up. “And so?”

The other male smiles innocently up at him. “And nothing. I just made a simple observation, that’s all.”

Kris squints at him. “Kim Joonmyun, I’ll ask once more. Why does it matter to you if my employee is attractive or not?”

The younger man laughs softly. “Ooh...getting jealous are we?” he says, amusement in his brown orbs.

“Joonmyun - ”

“Alright alright, chill,” Joonmyun holds up both hands in a gesture of peace. He grins, eyes twinkling with mischief. “I was just thinking about how good Jongin will look with Luhan. Our darling deer has been quite lonely ever since his baozi went to England.”

The taller boy blinks. Then -

“You are a genius Kim Joonmyun,” he smiles widely - lips pulled back to reveal white gleaming teeth and pink gums.

“I know,” Joonmyun says smugly as he opens the door to his red convertible. Settling into the leather seat, he sticks his key into the ignition and revs up the engine.

He buckles his seatbelt and looks up. “I’ll bring him over tomorrow so they can meet. You’re coming over for dinner later?”

“That goes without saying.”

“See you later then,” Joonmyun grins toothily and speeds out of the carpark.

-

“Our boss is a fucking dipshit,” Sehun declares loudly when he sees that there’s no customer in the shop.

He slams down his cup on the counter and says, “I’m going to resign soon. You with me?”

Silence.

Sehun frowns and shoves his daydreaming best friend. “Yah! Kim Jongin, did you hear what I said?”

Jongin sighs and whispers breathily - raven eyes unfocused as he stares into nothingness. “I think I found the one, Sehun. My future husband.”

Sehun sees Kris’ arm on Jongin’s so-called ‘future husband’ in his mind’s eye, and presses his half-empty drink into the hands of the dazed boy before silently heading for the staff room.

-

That very night, Jongin wakes up abruptly.

He frowns. That’s weird, why on earth would Choi Siwon appear in his dreams?

Shutting his eyes, Jongin closes his eyes and tries to go back to sleep. It isn’t long before those eyes fly open again.

The man he saw was at least a head shorter than him. In other words, it wasn’t the Super Junior member he saw in his dreams.

Jongin goes back to sleep with a smile on his face.

-

The next morning, Joonmyun speaks briskly into the receiver of his phone.

“Luhan? Meet me at Kris’ shop in one hour. Bring Jongdae with you.”

-

“Good morning! How can I help you today? Here, sit down sit down. You must be feeling tired.”

Joonmyun looks strangely at the overly-chirpy Jongin. “Uhm, I’m not exactly tired?”

“How can you not when you’ve been running non-stop through my mind the whole of last night and this morning?”

Joonmyun immediately bites down on his bottom lip to prevent himself from laughing out loud into Jongin’s face. A snort can heard from the back of the shop.

“Dude, seriously?! Wait till I tell Yixing hyung about this, he’ll die from laughing!”

“Shut the fuck up Sehun. Or do I have to remind you again about how you met Xing hyung?” Jongin tosses over his shoulder before turning back to Joonmyun. “Ignore him, he’s just being his usual dickhead self.”

“You’re being the fucking dickhead by bringing up my boyfriend,” Sehun seethes, “He’s mine Jongin, mine.”

Jongin rolls his eyes. “You can keep him for as long as he’s willing to put up with all your crap. Poor guy is tainted from being with you and I don’t really want damaged goods, if you get my gist,” he grins maliciously.

“Oh and - ” he adds as an afterthought, “You brought him up first, stupid.”

Sehun turns an interesting shade of purple. He parts his lips, pinches them into a thin line the next second, and stomps his way into the staff room.

Jongin rolls his eyes again and laughs softly under his breath. “Overreacting territorial bitch.”

“Wait what? You know Yixing too?” Joonmyun asks - surprise evident in the lilt of his voice and in his widened orbs.

“Oh yeah. Xing and I go waaayyyy back,” the younger boy raises his volume for the benefit of Sehun. “As a matter of fact, Sehun first met him when he walked in on a steamy make-out session between hyung and myself.”

A yell and the sound of boxes being overturned could be heard.

Jongin smirks. Joonmyun flinches slightly. “Shouldn’t you check on him? He could get hurt?”

“Nah, he’ll be alright. But wait,” Jongin scrunches his nose. “Why are you still on your feet? Have a seat, have a seat.”

He all but drags a bemused-looking Joonmyun over to a chair in the corner and shoves him into it. “Now,” he says with a grin, “can I get you anything to drink? Coffee? Tea? Me?”

The older male blinks and tries his best to hold back a snort. He barely succeeds.

“I’m good here thanks,” Joonmyun says with a polite smile. “Do you know where Kris is? He asked me to meet him here but well, apparently he’s missing in action?”

Jongin’s mind spins with all the different possibilities of who Kris might be to his ‘Mr. Perfect’.

“Uh...Mr Boss Sir said he was gonna get breakfast?” he shrugs lightly. “About 5 minutes before you arrived?”

“Mr Boss Sir? Did he tell you to call that?”

Jongin lets the soft musical laughter float around him. He reckons that this how angels sound like. He also reasons to himself that there is absolutely no one that can make him feel as though he’s floating in air - except ‘the one’.

Joonmyun is his destined one, Jongin’s sure of it.

“You bought a pair of jeans yesterday,” he blurts out - Joonmyun’s question completely forgotten.

The older boy gives him an amused smile, a slight quirk of the lips. “Yes, I did. Why?”

“You looked amazing in it. Is your mom or dad a baker by any chance?”

“My parents are both professors but my dad used to be in the baking business.”
Joonmyun laughs internally because he knows for sure what’s coming next. He pats himself on the back when Jongin says -

“That must explain why you have such great buns.”

Joonmyun laughs aloud this time because oh my god seriously?!

Jongin is on an unstoppable roll. He reaches into his pants pocket for his phone. “Hey listen,” he puts his Samsung into the other boy’s hands. “I lost my number. Can I have yours instead?”

-

“Joonmyun? You’re here already?”

Both young men looked in the direction of the voice. Joonmyun immediately gets to his feet with a boyish grin on his face. “Good morning!” he chirps.

Kris grins back and strides over. “Morning baobei,” he greets easily with a swift and chaste kiss to Joonmyun’s lips.

The youngest among the three stares at the scene in front of him with a quickly sinking heart. He manages to croak out, “Y-you two...”

His boss pulls Joonmyun closer to him. “Kim Joonmyun. My boyfriend.”

Jongin is on the very edge of blacking out when -

“Joonmyun hyung? We’re here.”

Two young men - one blonde and one brunette - strolled into the shop with their arms linked.

“Oh good you’re here. Luhan, Jongdae, I want you guys to meet Kim Jongin.”

Blondie nudges the brown-haired boy gently in the ribs with a devilish smirk. He walks up to Jongin and smiles.

“Hi. I’m Luhan, nice to meet you Jongin,” he says then promptly kicks the latter in the shin.

Jongin yelps and gives Luhan his fiercest glare when the boy drawls, “Whoops. Did that hurt?”

“Of course it must’ve hurt, Lu hyung,” the other boy - Jongdae - steps forward with a catlike grin. “Heaven is a long way from here.”

“Don’t be stupid, Jongdae-yah,” Luhan says, “He’s hardly a fallen angel. Angels can’t be this sinfully attractive.”

He purses his lips thoughtfully. “Can they?”

“Sure they can. Maybe that’s why the other angels got jealous and pushed him down?” Jongdae faces the younger boy. “Isn’t that right?”

Jongin blinks.

Without saying another word, he hobbles away to join Sehun in the staff room.
