[...yeah, Seto, you'll probably be bumping into Giles. To be fair, he isn't paying very much attention either - he's just standing and staring at one of the unoccupied houses, lit up by Christmas lights despite its perpetually dark windows.

He steps back sharply when he feels someone collide with him, looks around, and then spots Seto with mild surprise.]

Seto? Is, um, is everything all right?

[While Giles is looking at one of the houses, Seto is actually walking backwards, staring at a few of the occupied houses when he bumps into something. Quickly turning around, he opens his mouth to apologize when he notices it's Giles.

Of course he still deserves an apology but he nods first] Y-yes, everything's okay... I-I'm sorry I bumped into you. I was just looking at the lights...

The lights? [Giles looks around them, at the strings of bright lights lal but festooning every building.] The Christmas lights, do you mean?

...yes, they are very nice, aren't they? Very nice touch.

Christmas lights? That's what they're called? What are they for?

[Questions galore]

...I think the lights are there because Christmas is almost here.

Ah... [He really didn't know? But...when Kazuma thought about it, considering the condition of his home, it probably did make sense that he didn't.]

Christmas is a holiday that's observed on December 25th in various cultures. It has a religious origin, but everyone celebrates it nowadays.

Oh... [Why hasn't he ever heard of this? Did his grandfather not celebrate it? Thinking about this for a second] What do you do on Christmas?

I was wondering what's with those lights, too.

People have been saying it's part of some festival type thing I think...

Uh huh! I wonder what we're supposed to do for it though. What do you think?

It's in honour of a holiday called Christmas. It seems the Malnosso also celebrate it.

Christmas? [Why does everyone seem to know about this except him]

A holiday that was celebrated back in my world. There are many reasons for its origin, though one of the traditions is gift-giving.

A holiday? Gift giving? [Ahh--why has he never heard of this before? His grandfather never told him... ] Do you celebrate it?

I don't know where they came from, but these lights are to celebrate Christmas.

[He's read and heard all about it before!]

They use lights to celebrate it? Why? [Or wait, better yet] ...What's Christmas?

Oh, they don't celebrate it in your world? Actually, they don't celebrate it in mine either-- I didn't learn about it until I came here to Luceti.

It's a holiday that's supposed to celebrate the birth of a very important person in Earth religion, but I don't know why they use the lights and the trees for it. I guess it's to make everything more festive.

I've never heard of it before... [Well at least he isn't the only one! That makes him feel a bit better.

Except for the fact that Emil just say it was celebrated for someone on Earth. He had no idea... why didn't his grandfather tell him about this Christmas thing? It takes him a second to respond to that] O-Oh! I see. Well the lights really do make everything look nice. Do people here celebrate it every year too?
