I'm from Japan in my world. I'd like to talk awhile, if you want.

Japan in my world is known for a lot of its technology. They have a strong computer and electronics market in the world.

To answer that, may I ask about your world? How are mathematical computations performed there?

[If she can at least pin down what he is working with, she can try to put it in terms he'll understand clearly.]

[Wait wait--mathematical compa-what. That leaves him kinda brain dead for a moment but he recovers and sheepishly asks]

W-What is that exactly?

[She's getting ahead of herself again.]

Ah- math. Addition, subtraction, and the like.

Oh! Well um...to be honest, I don't really know...My grandfather was more into math and science type stuff and I never really understood it so I just...never studied it.

[She can't keep the shock from her voice.]

Eh? Never? But it's very important to your education!

I-I know but it's so difficult! At least from what I read from my grandfather's library...So many numbers and weird shapes.

[What is education]

Do you attend the school here? [She stops herself from saying 'at least'.]

Yeah! I've never been to school before so I think it'll help me learn better.

Mm! I think you should go. School is very important. Besides, you can learn a lot of things for yourself there, too.

What did you learn in school, Miss?

I studied to become a doctor. That means I had to learn a lot of math and science especially. But I enjoyed my other classes, too.

A doctor?? That's amazing! Do you think you could teach me doctor stuff? [He wants to be able to help people too!]
