Hello.
Boy has it been some time since i last posted something other than a meme. Im doing well; Im actually graduating from the makeup academy i go to. Im looking at liberal arts universities to go to next fall. I want to get my BFA in theatre and English. I'm keen on going to one of those make-your-own-major kind of school. sounds good because alot of people are advised on not taking classes because its not in their major.
I'll end up taking Literature, Writing, Speech, History, Cutural Anthropology, Theatre, Dance, and Music courses. I want to prospectively teach High School Dramma, write and research plays, and do a little theatre makeup design for big on or off broadway shows. I'd also act, probably only off off broadway. im taking acting so i can learn theatre from the players prospective.
Enough about school. This weekend my parents went to vegas with my oldest brother and sister in law. My little sister and brother went to my oldest brother's houser to babysit his 4 kids, so im home alone all weekend. usually im excited to be alone, but i felt a litle wierd . the house was so lonley. so I went to go catch the 10 o clock show of QUINCENERA at the theatre a few blocks away. Since i was 11, when i moved to my town, I often visited this theatre to go watch both indie flicks and big pictures. nrmally i go alone. i dont need someone with me to watch a movie, as i dont need some one to watch tv with me. i think its rather dumb to not go to a good movie, just because no one else is interested.
QUINCENERA was a moving piece about a youn girl who is from Echo Park, an area close by my house where all the fags and dykes are moving and destroying the Latin culture there. The younge girl Magdalena becomes pregnant after her boyfriend cums on her thigh, so shes a pregnant virgin. The next Character i Carlos, the hard ass cholo who falls for his neighbor, an english guy. He was seducted by the his neighbor and his neighbor's partner. And the Last Character is Tomas, an 85 year old man who sells champurrado (a mexican hot drink) on the street. he is the uncle of Magdalena and Carlos. He takes them in after their parents disown them. He's a sweet old man. There you go...go check it out.
