i drive in bad weather all the time, but this was really terrifying. there was 8 inches of snow on the highway. That was bad but managable. When i turned off the highway things really got ugly. For a while the only way i could tell i was still on the road was by noting how wide the gap between the trees was. then the road ahead was blocked off because the wind had created 10 foot tall drifts on the road. When i turned back i got stuck. by sheer luck i was nevt to an exit that had a steep off ramp. by turning of the traction control and pumping the accelerator i was able to slowly drift sidways down the ramp. again luckily there was a freshly plowed road at the bottom of the ramp. from there things were still dicey but a bit better. all in all it took me two hours to travel the twenty miles home. Why was i out in such weather? to go to a dnd game naturally.
