Brandi tour 2006

Jul 04, 2006 13:35

Just dropped Brandi off at the bus terminal. She arrived here Thursday evening for our annual Canada Day visit. Here is how the days went.

Thursday - I pick her up at 11:40 pm. We come back here, and just chat till like 1/2 in the morning. Sleep.

Friday - Wake up earlyish on Friday. We play around on the computer. I was told on Thursday that Teresa Jewell (a friend of mine) was having her birthday dinner on friday and that I was to attend. It was to be happening at the Green Papaya on Queen street. So, Brandi and I head down earlier than we should have (3:30) so we could bum around downtown for a while. Now, we get off at Kent, and start walking to find the restaurant. We walk the wrong direction and go all the way down to Catherine Street. We walk all the way back up to Kent, go up one block from where we started, and find the restaurant. I was under the impression that dinner was at 6, and seeing as how it was now 5:30, it wouldn't be a bad time to hit the restaurant. We are told when we get there that it's actually at 7. BOO!

We leave and hit Fandom (I bought something), hit Comic Book Shoppe (Brandi bought something), and then meet for dinner. We were tired, hot, and hungry.

Dinner was fun, but we didn't feel like going clubbing afterwards (they were heading to Club Soda), so we swung by Chris's place for a bit of roleplaying. Brandi didn't know what she was doing so much, but still had an acceptable time. Sleep was around 2ish.

Saturday - We wake up early (8:30) so we can get our day started. We do the Canada Day quizzes in the paper, only to find that one is too hard, and one is too easy. Poop. One is also falsely attributed to my mom's work (National Atlas), and we heard angry words from her on that subject since it seems to be the work of plagarism.

We go for lunch with Gilles and Pam at Perkins. Pam was such a potty mouth. Brandi got herself a piece of pie (which was almost free!) and said nothing could stop her from eating it. Pam said "Well, what if Gilles got up on the table, dropped his pants and shit all over it?" PAM! Later, when we saw a girl spit while driving, Pam naturally assumed she had just been giving head to some guy beside her. Tsk tsk tsk.

We then hit Lima's party, which wasn't too bad. Lotsa people were cranky, and some were getting very angsty for no particularly good reason. I remember Robyn trying to convince me that it was a big deal that was happening. I assured her it wasn't, and that Lima Parties + Booze = Tears. That's simply how it works. I just wish that some people didn't turn into angsty teens at the drop of a hat. I believe I told someone that the world would be better if it was like the Sims. People can live out their lives, just let me make the choices for them. I know what's best. We went to sleep around 2ish.

Sunday - We wake up early because we are going to my Uncles house for a birthday BBQ. I felt rather shitty all day long. We spent the morning in the pool, then went to his BBQ in the afternoon. We left the party early, came back, and I flopped and watched Brandi play Kingdom Hearts 2. I went to bed around 10:30ish because if I didn't get sleep, I was gonna get sick.

Monday - We went downtown shopping. We hit all the usual spots. I walked away with Donnie Darko, 40 year old Virgin, and an entire booster Box of Changeling Cantrip Cards (SQUEE!). Brandi walked away with an Advent Children Poster, 6 Chinese/Japanese CDs, the Second Manga in the Tuxedo Gin series, some anime action figure. The second half of the day was spent at Gilles and Pam's place watching Donnie Darko. Gilles frigged up the air conditioning, and I thought Pam was going to kill him.

Tuesday - Rise, pack, hit Blessing (a Christian Store), pick up a Veggie Tales video, get some Pockey, bring Brandi to the bus, come back, and soon I shall sleep a bit before I head off to class.
