Sims 2 Resource Post!
This will be a continuous project, and I'll do my best to add new things I find and prune the list of defunct sites as time goes on. This is going off of my Firefox bookmarks and memory, so hopefully I haven't left too many sites out.
Genetics/Deafaults
Regular Skintones:
Selzi makes amazing skintone blends! I currently use the September as my default, but I might switch to another blend of hers because they're all so great!
The Ephemera-based blend by Pooklet is a good one to have on hand as well. It comes as defaults and/or geneticized. I also use a lot of geneticized skins to add variety to my townies/born in-game sims.
_simplyrandom is the maker of my current favorite geneticized skins. The post is f-locked, but all of her skins are great and you can find a ton on GoS under her user name Astromeso. ^_^
Supernatural:
Werewolf & Plantsim - Made by Navetsea
Zombie - Made by Pooklet, I use the ornate version. I also really like this set as well.
Vampire - Dumas by Rensim. But this one by skittledboxes & _simplyrandom is nice too.
Alien - Made by ChihoSan, defaulted by Charade. There's no pictures, but you can see what the green looks like on Aloe.

Pooklet's Townified Simrenity Eyes - these are gorgeous! I switch between my personal set of defaults and using the geniticized versions of these and the ones below all the time.
Pooklet's Yumedust+Anva Townified/Defaults - These are awesome. The vibrant color of Yumedust plus the sclera of Anva. LUV.
Selzi's Dragonmandy Eyes (last 4) - I haven't personally used them yet but I think they're beautiful.
Lucent Eyes by bailelizabeth - yeah, I know.. that Bailey, but these eyes are beautiful so shut up!
Just Reflect Eyes - by La_exotique
Dazzling Eyes - By Shady. She has a TON of eye sets, check them out.
Rensim Eyes! - An oldie but a goodie, I used her confutatis and mayday eyes for ages. And actually, I still use her default alien eyes.
Rensim Default Eyebrows - You will never need any other eyebrows again.
Hair:

Rose - ignore her regular hair and skip straight to the "pay" hairs. Remember, for anything 'paysite' the booty is your friend.

Selzi's Alpha Edits/Recolors - really, you can't go wrong with anything Selzi. =P
GOS is a great place to find some amazing alphas and recolors of various hair styles.
Josh Sims - good edits (mostly Noukified)
Rissa - More great binned/re-textured edits.
Make-Up:
Pooklet's Lipstick Remix - MUST HAVE. It's edits of 9 Ren, Bruno and Ga-Laxy lipstick sets. They look great on any skin tone. You can't not have this for your game.
Kamikitten - She used to have her own website which really had some great stuff (freckles, lip colors, etc.) but she closed it so this is what's left on MTS2. I can share what I have in my game if anyone would like it.
DM's Gloss Cream Shadows - As Seen on Phoebe.

GunMod's Camera Mod - I don't know why it took me so long to download this, I love how close up I can get to things now for my screenshots!
FOOD - I love finding new foods for my sims to cook, just doing a quick search on MTS2 will give you a great start! Also, eris3000 is my favorite food maker right now.
