If you aren't sure about something or you have an idea for plot/log/shenanigans in some form, feel free to use this post to get in touch with me!

Gᴇɴᴇʀᴀʟ Pᴇʀᴍɪssɪᴏɴs

part i.
Character name: Bonnie Carmichael
Fandom: Original (Metropolis 101!verse)
Species: human
Character powers:
• visions, triggered and random: precognition/premonition/postcognition/psychometry
empathy and erratic telepathy
(extremely limited, telepathy makes it sound much more expansive than it is)

Bonnie is a Seer, and although she has a lot of potential, it has gone massively untapped. In fact, she wishes to escape her powers as much as possible. Unfortunately for her, she's made them unstable by letting her body get so weak. Her powers can go out of control and be massively painful.

Sometimes the visions are completely random, but most often what she gets are triggered imprints (from people, objects, emotions, locations, etc). Sometimes, rather than a vision, she can pick up on characters emotions or snatches of thoughts.

If she sees something, it can result in physical repercussions for her. It might be as simple as feeling something very intensely, or she could get levels of anxiety and fear high enough to induce a panic attack.

Physically, she's pretty weak and she doesn't have any other fancy abilities. Seer blood is special, though, which means she can be a target; the potency of it means that drinking it can have a euphoric and hallucinogenic effect for non-human entities.

le note:
My default setting with all of her abilities is that she is having an off day, meaning her powers won't kick it at random and her powers can be completely handwaved, and it won't be used without player permission and discussion.

part ii.
1.) Is it acceptable for your character to be mind-controlled or persuaded? How susceptible are they to mind control, hypnotism, or suggestion?
Bonnie has a lot of power, but it's also a mess. I don't think there's any reason that she'd have immunity to control, persuasion, hypnotism or suggestion, but they could be made a little unstable by her powers. I am open to hearing what your character can do and for different ideas with this, though!

2.) Is it acceptable for your character to have their mind read? Does this include traumatic memories? What is their mind like?
Absolutely, but again, discussion to make sure we're on the same page for things not mentioned in narrative, etc, would be best.

Bonnie's mind is a dark, scary place. There's a lot of terrible things she has seen, and she's fuelled the dangerous, scary side of her visions with drugs and basically made herself very unstable. It's a bit like a labyrinth or a maze, and could potentially be a scary and dangerous place to find yourself. Again, I am open to plotting, because I think someone venturing into her mind would be really interesting to play out.

3.) Are thoughts mentioned in narration acceptable for a telepath to pick up?
Go for it!

4.) What about emotions, in the case of an empath? What sort of general emotional reading would such a character receive from yours?
A mix of fear, curiosity, apathy. Sometimes she sort of emotionally flatlines because it's the only way to cope. Feel free to pick things out from narrative, or get in touch with me and discuss!

5.) Are there any aspects of your character's mind, emotions, or memories you would like to be picked up, mentioned, or used in character? Conversely, is there anything that should not be noticed, or at least never mentioned?
I think anything can be a free for all with her. If there is something specific I think of, I will add it here! At the moment, however, I am up for everything.

part iii.
1.) Physically speaking, what stands out about your character? Imposing size? Physical scarring? Tattoos?
Bonnie's on the shorter side, only about 5'4". Her eyes are this super pretty blue colour (thank you, Zooey Deschanel), so I imagine those stand out.

Scars: From her elbow right down both forearms, down her thighs to her knees and her neck and shoulders have lots of scars, some faded to white and some pretty red, bite marks. Some are sunken in, but a few have raised up in ridges. They're vampire marks, basically just twin punctures.

She has lots of them, but she generally keeps them covered. It's okay for your character to catch sight of them, though, because Bonnie is still a kind of spacey person, and it's impossible to keep things covered all the time, especially if it's really hot.

2.) Is your character immune to any of the following: poisons, chemical agents, telekinetic influence, radiation, or types of illnesses?
Nope!

3.) Is your character physiologically different from a human in any way?
No. However, her blood is special, so any blood drinkers who take a sip will get some lovely hallucinations.

4.) Are you amenable to having your character be harmed in any way? How far are you comfortable with injury to you character going? Does this include being fed on by vampires, willingly or unwillingly?
Anything short of permanent maiming or death, really! That said, I'd be open to both of those in certain situation - I just don't want to traumatise her at the drop of a hat, so to speak, but I am interested in exploring these things if they come up as part of a developed plot. If you aren't really sure and want to double check, drop me a line. I'm most likely to be up for anything, but discussion is always awesome.

I am game for her being fed on by vampires, willingly or unwillingly.

5.) Is it acceptable for other characters with abilities of shapeshifting or disguise to imitate your character? Does this include ability mimicry?
I am fine with this! It sounds fun :')

part iv.
1.) Can your character's presence or aura be noticed by other characters, and how would it look/feel to them? How would it manifest to a character with no supernatural abilities, if at all?
There isn't anything remarkable about her aura, to those with no supernatural abilities, although they might in theory notice there's something odd about her - that's more because of her behaviour than aura.

Other characters may or may not notice there's something different, depending on your preference. How obvious it is can depend, because her power and control fluctuate. It might seem like the air shifts around her, or that there's some kind of disturbance, more than anything else.

2.) Can your character be affected by magic spells and curses?
Yes, although if it's an optional plot thing then discussing it first would be awesome, depending on the effects and everything.

3.) Can your character be affected by sin and corruption, and be tempted toward expressing their darker urges (of whatever flavor)?
Yes, especially because Bonnie is terrible at resisting the tide.

4. What sort of sins is the character prone toward, and how might they best be tempted, if you are interested in such an event?
She has a drug addiction problem, so giving into temptation and addiction are huge problems for her. Sloth, certainly. Wrath, jealousy and things that require a lot of fire, not so much. Lust could happen, but that's something I'd rather discuss.

5.) Are you amenable to the character receiving prophetic visions, including as part of a plot?
IT IS HER CALLING.

part v.
1.) Is canon-puncturing or fourth-walling acceptable?
No, I'd rather avoid any scenario where Bonnie found out she was fictional.
Reference to her looking like other characters played by her own PB, Zooey Deschanel, is fine.

2. Is threadjacking allowed? Under what circumstances?
Yes, although not if another player and I have something specific that we are aiming towards with a thread or if it is private. If you aren't sure, just check with me, but I am usually up for it. Threadjacking in moderation, I guess - it can be really fun, but if it happens all the time then I personally get a little over it.

3. Is it acceptable for canonmates that are updated further than yours to inform your character of events yours has not yet experienced?
n/a

4. Are there triggering or upsetting topics you would like other characters to avoid mentioning to yours for the sake of continued comfort?
I am pretty much okay with anything coming up in-character, as long as there is a context for it and it is purely in-character. If I do get uncomfortable with something, I'll let you know and we can figure it out.

If you're not sure about diving right into sensitive topics, I'm happy to discuss it to work out what we're both comfortable with and where we'd like it to go to make sure we're both happy with the outcome and what topics might be touched.

Exᴛʀᴀ Qᴜᴇsᴛɪᴏɴs

ʙᴀᴄᴋᴛᴀɢɢɪɴɢ Sure thing! I love backtagging. If for some reason you just aren't feeling a thread anymore, that's fine too! It happens. Feel free to drop me a line and we can handwave and figure out what happened, if you like.

ʜᴜɢɢɪɴɢ Yes: She will quite possibly be uncomfortable, at first, but if she knows your character well enough then she'll be more relaxed about it.

ᴋɪssɪɴɢ Yes: Although she will be likely to just tense up and be completely unresponsive, unless she likes your character.

ғʟɪʀᴛɪɴɢ Yes.

ғɪɢʜᴛɪɴɢ Sure, although she's kind of weak and unhealthy and her abilities have nothing to do with strength of any kind, so it could be a pretty terrible fight.

ᴡᴀʀɴɪɴɢs Bonnie has a drug addiction problem and has some dark, supernatural themes going on with her. She is a self-destructive personality, almost, or at the very least has a tendency towards awfully self destructive decisions by never fighting for something better. Her life has a few hideous events, which are detailed in her info post.
